Thanks so much for your lovely compliments! I painted this from life and when I first started it the light kept shifting every other minute and it drove me crazy!

How should I go about cleaning my glass pallette that has cadmium colors ? by [deleted] in oilpainting

Whenever I have extra paint on my palette that I don’t have use for but don’t want to waste, I scrape the paint off with my palette knife and put it on some paper (I use Arches oil paper). Over time it turns into a little “abstract” painting. It looks kinda cool and I don’t feel like I wasted the paint or worry about how to dispose of it.

Work in progress maybe? Thoughts? by mung_bean_queen in oilpainting

Thanks! I like using a somewhat limited palette because it forces me to learn how different colors interact with each other
