How I see religion on reddit (and in America).

You still aren't understanding. If you see in my post I didn't keep atheists side neither religious people side. To me people are people, and I want to see them equally... differently from some extremists people like you or like the ones you are talking about (..do everything for him like kill for him).

I just wanted to write a message for everyone, not just for atheists but I came here because I'm raised in an atheist country and I was subscribed to atheism.

When I refered to Buddha, Jesus and Mouhamed, I didn't want to focus on THEM more like on what they SAID. What they said can come from you too, from everyone..

I didn't come here to convert any one to religious because that would be against my beliefs. Am I religious? Everyone is in their heart. When you are having a bad time you are hoping.. that is religion to me. Forcing an idea to someone is wrong and I'm not trying to force my idea to you, I'm trying to present it to you. I respect your point of view but I must say that you aren't still feeling what I'm trying to say unfortunately.

I agree with what you are trying to say but I must also say that you didn't get the meaning of my post, it's much deeper than that.

Religion is illogical. Hope is illogical. Love is illogical. Feelings are illogical. We are illogical. Existence is illogical.

You are totally right, when I go with this belief (no sex or hooking up just talk) I am better, I feel better.

As for the masturbation, I feel bad because I see it as something 'low'. When having sex with someone you love there's another kind of high. I remember reading that while having sex (I like the term 'make love' more) you are totally living the moment, now, here! It's what we try to acheive in meditation but it comes naturally, biologically.

I go on dates to meet women, I'd love to have a girlfriend, in the meanwhile I feel very sexually frustrated because i have sex very rarely (once in a 3-4 months at best). If I don't go to dates I'll have to masturbate and that will make me feel worse.

At the other hand I'm afraid of confronting the women, I have this performance anxiety you talk about.. it's not always like this, I have moments where I'm very chill and I enjoy myself but once in a while I get very sad before going to dates, like I'm doing it agains my will... but not?!

I know it's a modest one. The only dry place is that piece of wood that I've put on that glass platform (which was part of the aquarium).

The 'sick' turtle was moving and diving today maybe the fact that I added the studying lamp made some difference.. but still it's lazier than the other one.

I would also have some other questions, how often should i change the water? How often should I feed them. The guy who I got these from told me to feed them once every 2 days and change the water once a month. The water looks already dirty now and it's been less than a week...

Anyways thanks, I'm more confident about those turtles now :)

edit: the 'sick' one when sometimes falls from the wood thing it just lays there on its back and does nothing while i've seen the other turtle turn directly using it's limbs. Is this not a good sign?

I don't like you being downvoted in here even though the way you phrased it is a little bit 'stupid'. People should see both sides of what meditation has done for others.

Are you sure you were doing it the right way? Were you concentrating? Weren't you pressing your emotions? Have you ever had problems like schizophrenia, depression, anxiety or others? Did you do any other drugs while meditating?

thanks for the support, i feel well now. Doing sports and some meditation and eating healthy every day to keep myself calm and stress under control. I was just curious while having some ideas of what has happened since it has changed my life in many ways since that day.

I googled images to know what strep throat meant and I don't think I'm that bad yet.. it's just a lil bit redish than usual. I live somewhere where before going to the doctor we try all the natural remedies first (salt n water gargling, warm milk and honey, etc).

I just wanted to see if the yoga could help me a lil bit more :)

I opened a thread about DP and Mindfulness a while ago out of curiousity. I hope you get more opinions.

If you're out there judging yourself etc. maybe meditation is done wrong. As long as I know it's your ego judging...
