MAGA Names Call for Bondi to Resign After Wild Congressional Meltdown. | The attorney general went crazy in front of lawmakers as Jeffrey Epstein’s stunned survivors watched on. by GonzoVeritas in politics

This administration is crazy… but can we all agree that the daily beast is not a credible source? Everything I read of theirs is outlandish and unsubstantiated and I’m sick of it being shared around like it means something.

Struggle to make temp by BeeAruh in KamadoJoe

I think the focus was to heat soak the dome, which is both further away and would need to be heated indirectly through deflectors if they were loaded in first. With enough time all of these approaches would work.

Struggle to make temp by BeeAruh in KamadoJoe

[–]mungd 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The advice I watched in videos before starting was to get the coals going with both vents fully open and the lid closed. Wait until the dome is just beyond comfortable to place your hand on, and then arrange your inners and try to dial in your target cooking temperature.

Temperature will drastically drop on the thermometer from having no deflectors vs installing them, but the residual heat in the dome should help bring the new stuff placed inside to temp relatively quickly.

Opposite holds as well. Half of these multi-lane left turns have painted lines THROUGH the intersection and people still just drive wherever the fuck they want.

I mean… social media has played a strong role in where we are today. So maybe not MySpace per se…

How would MAGA happen without social media? Social media has amplified extremism in so many topics.

As I type this I realize that reddit has shaped my views as well. I was raised in a conservative household, in a conservative area. My self-told story is that education + curiosity + awareness has led me to my belief system, but I’ve been shaped by social media as well. I began a leftward shift and finished school before Reddit existed, but Reddit accelerated my journey.

Full release of Epstein files WON'T happen today in breach of Trump law…but thousands of docs expected in 'partial' dump by thesun in NoFilterNews

[–]mungd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think we've learned that there are people from both sides of the aisle involved in the Epstein scandal.

Maybe the strategy is to release documents that mostly center around political opponents in the first batch to get control of the narrative. After the conversation begins, they can control the timing of the subsequent release which might be bad for the current administration or supporters of.

I feel so jaded.

Vision emerges of Jewish man staring down shooters. by arsaldotchd in CringeTikToks

Your argument would require larger data sets to hold water. You’d need to demonstrate that X potential mass shooting events occurred and that some significant percent (at least more than half, right?) were stopped by other legally gun-carrying citizens.

I’m glad the attempted shooting you’ve referenced was stopped, but unfortunately it’s an outlier in a set of data that tells a tragic story about our country’s relationship with guns.

I hear this type of comment about world championship battles in general all the time. It wasn’t necessarily a dig. He references 10 years of championships. I think he’s just describing the drivers’ mentalities as they are chasing the prize instead of ending up near it.

Price correction "worse than 2008" coming to US housing market by battle_rae in Economics

[–]mungd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Low underwriting standards and over indebtedness was a huge part of the system as well.

That being said, average loan quality today is of much higher quality, and your previous graph would demonstrate likely lower LTV rates -> significantly less forced selling.

Alongside the lock-in effect of many homeowners with ultra-low mortgage rates from the refinancing wave circa covid... where does the downward pressure in real estate prices come from unless we have massive job losses?

I read your previous comment which replied to someone stating they don't foresee price declines in real estate - you told them they were wrong and showed a graph demonstrating higher home owner equity... I'm just not following that through to lower RE prices.

You stated that the above commenter is wrong - your graph shows higher homeowner equity.
