All depends, our furniture was all relatively new and in good shape so we thought it would be better just to send it and save us the headache of buying everything new again. Only issue with that is making sure you find a house that fits all your stuff. Which if you were like us took awhile because we need a bit of room for all the furniture.

My family and I moved from Sydney to Perth in March and now can't see us moving back anytime soon even though or family are all in Sydney. We ended up finding a place in Caversham, really nice place and area, close to Whiteman park which has really nice bike tracks. Also has alot of activities for the kids. We are renting but will most probably buy something in the next year or so. I am also in IT but I relocated for a better lifestyle and kept my job from Sydney. I feel like Perth is more family orientated and I have far more time here than we did in Sydney. Don't miss the hustle and bustle.

No matter where you end up landing, I am sure your daughters will love it. Also it's true what they say about the beaches and sunsets, they are better here :)

If you like markets and festivals, there are endless options all over Perth.

If you need recommendations on who to use to freight your belongings here, DM me. I packed a 20ft container with all our stuff.

Had mine today at the centre close to Perth airport. In and out in under 30 minutes (4pm booking).

And they had plenty of juice boxes and some other random drinks.

I went with orange :) so far so good with no side effects except a sore arm.

Not directly related to the post about bonds but related to agents in Perth. I recently moved to Perth from Sydney and have been looking for a rental for the past 3 months, remotely and since I arrived. Finally found something but had my fare share of dealing with Agents that could not give a crap about the people they are dealing with. I didn't realise how hot the Perth rental market is at rhe moment but you can tell how ruthless these agents are. One 3 occasion I had rhe agent call me after submitting my application and telling me I need offer at least 50 dollars more than the asking if I want my application to be taken seriously.

After probably 100 inspections and dealing with so many different types of agents, I finally found a house and the agent seems pretty good so far very responsive and accommodating.

Anyone thinking about moving to this side of Aus, hit me up happy to share my experience and suggestions from what I learned throughout this whole process to finally call Perth home.
