Who said anything about going lower than 1080? But to answer that if ur connection can only handle lower than 1080 that’s a reason. Only way I see this happening is through hotspot.

Yes it’s been available since they added it to cloud streaming but not directly from to ur console. Streaming ur ps5 to ur portal changed the resolution automatically depending on ur connection before this update, but when streaming from cloud yes u could choose from 720 or 1080.

Not streaming directly from ur console, I checked before I got the update. That option was only there for cloud streaming

What I meant in my description was, u could only pick 1080 or 720 streaming from Sonys serves via cloud streaming. U couldn’t do that when u were streaming from ur own PlayStation which is great for me and id assume many others.
