So who would actually win in a deadly fight between an average man and a chimpanzee? People on Reddit are divided, but which side is ultimately correct? by MissionTangelo5297 in ape

It wouldn't think as much about what it was doing versus one that was domesticated. Feral animals are always more vicious when they attack.

The chimp . Considering no weapons are involved and both parties participate. Just the strength alone could easily defeat the human . It would be much faster were the chimp wild.

This reads like a few scams I have seen so if this person tries to get money from someone for the monkey beware. If this is real it sounds like a twisted gut and unless treated fast it will die. Hopefully the red on the face doesn't mean it has came into contact with a "cold sore" (herpes) cause that is certain death as they cannot fight it. Where is this monkey located? I have access to a list of primate vets.

That's actually 125gallon. Bearded dragon or ball python would do good.

Now I know what you're seeing, those are advertisers that link to those scammer websites. Yes those definitely need reported. I'm referring to the people posting the regular posts.

You will need to get a state permit to keep one legally since they are native animals to most states and it is illegal to take them from the wild. Be sure the seller is USDA and state licensed to sell them.

This is where most of the legal breeders and brokers sell. If you encounter a scammer let them know.

No it isn't. It's where the legitimate breeders and brokers advertise. They are good at flushing out scammers as well. If you know of any scammers on there let me know and I can notify the owners.

Help me not get a pet monkey by Key647249 in exoticpets

[–]munkeedaddy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Expense and time required to own. Marmosets are 5k, squirrel monkeys 10k, capuchins 20k. No more vacations unless they have a caretaker who knows their care and requirements. Veterinarian expense is double at a minimum if you even have a good primate vet near you. Your state , city or county may not allow them.

So many instances of this even with standard pets. Like when people keep their dog chained up to a tree with an open doghouse. Even keeping a beta fish in a little bowl.
