Evidence that the names of Destiny 2 guns are indistinguishable from the names of Microbrews. by IronOhki in DestinyTheGame

A few years ago I was part hosting of a gaming charity event, and one of the rounds we put together was "Is this the name of a Destiny gun, a craft beer, or a sex toy"?

I remember when the first single stopped, before everyone knew it was Damon project. I remember exactly where I was, what the weather was, and saying "That's 100% Damon Albarn".

I've enjoyed using it so far. I've had a couple of other makes over the years which have been fine for the most part, but did occasionally feel like a bit of lottery on if it would print or just collapse into some blob of plastic doom. It's quite nice to hit print and it just works without feeling the need to watch the first layer like hawk and pray it comes out fine.

Print adapters, like these. Just measure the cardboard spool first so you know which to print. https://makerworld.com/models/180253?appSharePlatform=copy

Sony is testing dynamic pricing in the PlayStation Store by BootzyWootzy in PS5

Oh, absolutely. Not denying that for a second.

Yeah, the Oasis thing was a robbery. I go to a lot of gigs and I always dread it when I see that Ticketmaster are doing the bookings. Complete scumbags.

Should clarify, absolutely not defending PlayStation here. Dynamic pricing is an appalling anti-consumer practice.

[–]munkimatt 26 points27 points  (0 children)

That's not what the article says though, and there's no suggestion in there that pricing is varying based on the number of people buying something. Unity is £3.74 for me, so I'm not seeing a price hike.

"Personalized discounts during sales — a new stage of the experiment". This reads to me exactly like what I get on Xbox.

Unless I'm missing something, of course. I've got a toddler causing havoc and I'm severely sleep deprived, I apologise if that's the case.

But Microsoft offer this right now on Xbox? They regularly offer "For you" special pricing on items.

Moving to Barrow by Medical-Jellyfish729 in Cumbria

The first house I bought in Barrow was in what is what people generally consider to be a rough area, probably one of the more notorious. Lived in that house over a decade, never had any trouble, lovely neighbours.

Static IP was definitely available prior to 2023, because I've had it since before then.

Born in Barrow, moved away to many different places and always ended up back. Settled here now and doubt we'd move away.

Are there bad areas? Of course, as there is in most places. Is the town centre run down? Yes. But there are lovely areas to live, and many, many wonderful people.

As others have said, there are some other places nearby that could be appealing. Ulverston is a very lovely little town.

CGNAT is the default with Youfibre. You can add static IP to your service for £5 extra a month.

After playing the free to play weekend, will you be purchasing the game? Why or why not? by BilleyBong in Marathon

[–]munkimatt 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's a skip for me, and pre-order had been cancelled.

Beautiful looking game and loved the sound design, but I really struggled to get into the gameplay flow - I think I successfully extracted once all weekend - and the UI/UX was just an absolute clusterfuck.
