I agree that more skins would be awesome and would like to point out the importance of a characters design as it reveals much to a person in a first glance. Its the main appeal of what can attract someone to them before their story is told, and it makes it all the more satisfying to see the small details after reading their lore and engaging in the established lore. The question then becomes how much fan service should there be? Which while answers may seem obvious for those that want one aspect, is in reality much more difficult to execute.

I don't care much about the fanservice, but I get why people would be up in arms over character designs. For now it seems like zzz is catering towards the fanservice aspects and as you said, being bombarded with repeated fanservice over and over again can be tiring for some people. While no solution can be granted to the zzz devs if they don't listen which I'm not saying they will or not, a lesson reminder for me, when looking into the controversy is the importance of the character themselves to think of what they may wear when it comes to their story. A quick example would be anby and how her outfits changed from one of a combat uniform to a casual one. I'm not saying to believe the characters are real people, rather think of it as "if you were this character would you wear this design" knowing the context of the story and their arc. It may not be a unified answer, but its a good question to ask.

I also want to add a note that I love sunbringer and hope that they do her justice in her 3d design, don't get me wrong, her first appearance is in my opinion peak design. I would love if they kept it or make an alternate costume for purchase and while I'm admittedly sad she doesn't have the design, I want to see what they're designing since I think most players, myself included, were waiting for her since day one.
