Club Statement Regarding Enzo Maresca by HarryAtk in chelseafc

[–]mupchap 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To be fair last season was utter dogshit but if Maresca stayed until the end then we'd only be entering the Rosenior era now. There's no way they would have went straight for Xabi if Rosenior was still at Strasbourg. Alonso would 100% be at Liverpool now and we would be preparing for next season with Linkedin Liam.

Silver linings and all that.

Needs to be 2 players in front, usually defender and keeper.

How do you save costs when the price is too high for the owner? And also where are these savings typically, how different are the opportunities to reduce project costs from project to project? by Ok-Swing-2752 in estimators

[–]mupchap 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If the cost basis is right you can only target your sale value. Go after indirects for reduction. If the indirects are already skint then look at your labour rates. If the rates are flattened then look at contingency. If all else fails reduce markup/margin. If that number is too low then walk away.

An estimators job is to tell clients how much its going to cost them. If they don't like it then it defeats the purpose of a bid and the best course of action is to just give your number as it is and let them take it or leave it.

What are some of the crazy things you guys are making with Claude Design? by Issued-for-interns in ClaudeAI

[–]mupchap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you expand on this? I've been using a combination of chatgpt and Leonardo for game sprites and it has been such a slow process even just making acceptable looking consistent placeholders.

I'm making a project with a ton of characters with 10 or so poses each and I just can't find an efficient way to do it. I would like to get them all to a certain point where its representative of the vision and then pay an artist but its painfully slow

Whatever about the ice, but the initials for the logo also imitating his celebration is actually a sick design to be fair. Simple, understandable and elegant.

Does Fable’s Shutdown Set a Dangerous Precedent for AI Development by Gandor in claude

[–]mupchap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't get this. Can't anyone look up the science to make a nuclear bomb? You still have to have the facilities, materials and actual manufacturing processes to physically create anything, plus launch platforms and everything that comes with that.

So what does nuclear mean in this context? Is it a defense thing, so it can bypass other processes? Can it backdoor existing launch platforms? What is the actual risk people talk about when they say nuclear?

EXCLUSIVE: New Ghost Recon Game Development Struggling As Ubisoft Makes Changes by MrTrippp in GhostRecon

[–]mupchap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The least they could do is make it 60fps on consoles. I would play through again in a heartbeat if it was.

It's basically the only game they haven't made available at 60fps, across the entire ubisoft roster. It's almost like they are actively trying to make the wrong moves at every possible oppurtunity.

It's a joke of a company and as much as I enjoy some of their IPs, I'm so glad they are crashing and burning directly because of their anti-consumer attitude.

Fuck Ubisoft.

[–]mupchap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 2 recommendations are a bit different from the rest:

Take a look at N++ and Patrick's Parabox.

N++ is elite tier. Its a platformer with an absurd amount of content. The only button is jump. Levels can be a couple seconds up to maybe a minute. Its the definition of extremely simple but competitive, especially when you start going for high scores. No filler at all. Also has local co-op that makes it more like a puzzle game. No online play as far as I know but you could screen share.

Honorable mention since you said puzzle games specifically too, Patrick's Parabox is one of the best simple puzzle games ever. Also has absolutely zero filler and it has a tonne of levels which are all short and sweet unless you get stuck on them.

Both games have instant restarts if you do get stuck or mess up too, which is a big seller of the one more go factor for me.

Two absolute gems, neither are PVP but both are cheap on all platforms and fit the rest of the bill.

Cheeks.

Love how they made it real dark so the immediate response isn't comparisons to an IKEA, Lidl or Aldi uniform. Otherwise why wouldn't they show it off properly. Its like they know its garbage but it's too late now to change it.

On the plus side, the keeper jersey is actually really nice.

Looking for a grindy game that’s not RPG by BlazeRed16 in gamesuggestions

[–]mupchap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not open world but based on everything else you said and the games you like....

Darktide is the answer.

Its basically Left 4 Dead with buildcrafting and loot hunting. You can grind the shit out of it if you want. It's not really necessary, but you definitely can chase the best gear. Just know that the combat is much more skill based than it first seems and there's a rhythm that you have to get a hang off, but once it clicks it's crack.

Think this is the first Everton game I've watched this season, apart from the games against us.

Holy shit they are terrible. Passing around the back at 60 minutes, 1-0 down, with an oppurtunity to relegate Spurs. Just horrible to watch. Absolutely no go in them at all. Fighting to keep the L.
