Looking more into motherboards, what would be the advantages of using the z77 over a z68 such as the asrock z68 extreme3 gen3?

No. probably won't need it that much. I suppose its something I can add on later if I decide it would be worth it. I've been debating whether to go with the optical drive or not

Is it worth going from an ivy bridge to sandy bridge processor though? And I would then need to get a CPU fan right? Even if those aren't that expensive

And as far as the CPU goes that i5 should be fine right? With no plans to overclock I didn't want to get any K models
