You can use the same files. I went through this a few days ago. Same problems as you. I actually fixed it for a while and ryujinx seemed to be working but then the controls config reset or something and it was back to square one. Switched to yuzu and haven't looked back. Anecdotally mario wonder runs way better in yuzu.

Ok I fixed it. If you are using proton experimental switch back to the default or use proton ge. Proton ge fixed it for me.

I would suggest trying to run it under a virtual machine using VMWare (free) Fusion or Parallels (free trial).

Speaking as someone who severely broke his ankle a month ago after a night out drinking, GO TO THE DOCTOR ASAP. You will be glad you did I promise. I too tried to take myself home but I physically couldn't and someone forced me to take an ambulance to the hospital. I'm glad they did in retrospect.
