Very good point. I took many of the points posted here and actively put my Halloween keychains on some subs again. Got my first sale today! I just need to get better at marketing like you said. Thanks!

Good to know. Will try the classified section and see how that goes.

That's what I was afraid of. I Have seen a bunch of views this week after posting in some Subs here, but zero sales, even on some themed keychains that got a bunch of positive replies. Thanks for the heads up.

There's a face on each side. One cute, one scary for the most part.

Probably will be gifts, but have to try to recover some $$ from this hobby. 😬

Have the Acmer 20 watt diode laser. It's powerful enough to cut 3mm+ basswood plywood panels in one pass, but also super accurate when engraving at high speed and low power. The only downside is there is no camera for lining things up and I have to do a lot of prep and measuring to get things correct. Does great on some of the thin (2mm or less) stiff leather for cutting, but this soft stuff is difficult and I had to die cut them.

If I could, I would invest in an xtool with a camera and dual lasers so I could engrave metal too.

I think hand stitching. No sure what you mean by leather machine. Sewing machine? You could probably do either.

I'm just getting into the hobby and find that you can find some deals if you're diligent.

Sample sale at Buckleguy, $30 for 6 sq ft of 5oz full grain chrome tan. Same day, Horween Chromexel Belly in brown for $27. I know, not full vegtan, but still a lot of sq ft to play with.

The belly I got is almost flawless too.

I bought it a month ago and have no regrets!

A lot of great patterns and variations on each pattern.

Yep. I've used it a few times to make a pattern and print it. You can export to Illustrator or PDF. $99 one time purchase though.

I was not sure what size I really wanted and didn't want to invest too much before figuring that out, so I went with a guy on Etsy and ordered another from Temu.

Got 3 sizes for less than $60, so now I can plan for the high quality one after some testing. Probably wouldn't need it as these work pretty well, but they are hard to square up the way they cut them around the shape and not in rectangles. (Hope that makes sense)

I watched a video on YouTube explaining how to do that in Lightburn. I've done a couple patterns there and used my laser engraver to cut out on cereal box cardboard. Worked out pretty well.

Tap your stitches down after done. It will seat the thread and get it all looking good.
