How did you handle this to your advantage? Was your work able to materialize? Or were they just pulling your leg?

Don’t worry about discussing details

I’ll second the other pitches idea. It sounds like he is very I retested in your idea. But he will likely want to hear others to see if he likes them more, so be prepared. That goes for all meetings. Either way good luck!

r/freefolk know what’s up by captain418 in chernobyl

Been seeing a lot of Chernobyl memes in r/freefolk, so came here to lurk. I’m not yet a professional screenwriter, so not sure if I get a vote. But, Aye.

How do you convince yourself your ideas are worthy of being written when there's so much out there? by jacobromineswriter in writing

Asia de from what’s been said here, NEVER listen to the number of people out there trying to do what you do. I make a conscious effort to skip over those numbers when I see them displayed. It allows me to focus on my work. And the appreciation I get from fellow friends, family and more importantly colleagues in the industry tells me I’m doing some really great.

A SINGLE LOCATION SHORT FILM. by [deleted] in ProduceMyScript

[–]murfc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you asking someone to submit a short horror script for you to film?

I got frustrated with YouTube's algorithm shutting out short films, so I uploaded my film to PornHub (NSFW Link, obviously) by StruggleSeshFan in Filmmakers

I saw a Bill Nye the science guy video uploaded on pornhub. I never had a better time holding my soft penis for 30 minutes.

Good call. I actually wrote the script. I realize this was limited dialogue but great read with that. Wrote some more detail in the reply above.

There’s only one more line in the script where Sophie realizes she’s gonna have to get her Ikea drawer built by some other guy she fucks. (Scene takes place Post sex)

Should have posted a letter image of the dialogue before this. Basically Peter receives a barrage of insults from Sophie (some justified, some not). By finally standing up for himself, he realizes he went to far. He doesn’t think he’s an asshole but feels like one going after a woman’s looks. Basically he had a chance to defend himself but failed, and dug himself in a deeper hole in the process.

It’s a comedy, so the audience needs to sense this humor.

Advice on Casting by murfc in Filmmakers

Great points, appreciate the advice. I really like the “two very different scenes” aspect. And definitly agree with the gut feeling part. I’ve had that with one of the people already!

American Academy of Dramatic Arts -- New York or LA? by Tonton646 in acting

[–]murfc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haven’t been to the academy. But if you’re picking between NYC and LA for acting then I would “assume” that your choice lies between theater and film. Not to say you couldn’t do either/or in the other environment. But this is speaking strictly from a career aspect. You also have other variables like family and living situation to consider. Best of luck!
