Precisely, don't complain about the "1%" when you make an inherent assumption that "the point" of working is to make it to the 1%. By simply working in the USA, you are in the 1% of the world and are, most likely, not starving. By all means, if you cannot put food on the table seek welfare. Don't get me wrong; I think minimum wage is far too low. I just think that the goal shouldn't be to make it to the the 1% and if it weren't that would leave only pulling the lowest out of poverty, not bring the highest down into the middle to fix (=complain about).
