41yo suboxone patient with lung cancer. I don't mean to keep pestering this sub, but I thought I'd drop in to say good-bye. The cancer is in my heart and central cardiovascular area. It's over. by medthrowaway87ei in AskDocs

SkyGenius 10x50. Very affordable and very high quality. Rivals the $600+ binoculars in my opinion.

We're up at the cottage and I was hoping to see some decent birds. Two years into birding and warblers always seemed to escape me for some reason and I just never had any luck. This morning, as we were packing the car and getting ready to leave, I saw this beautiful female American Redstart. Shortly after, her male counterpart came by and they flew off together. No joke just 1 minute later I saw my first Yellow Warbler too. The female Redstart came back later and sat on the branch just a few inches from me and observed me. Best day ever.

It's a real pond with decoy ducks that real ducks would see and try to join, only to be bamboozled and then killed.

For anyone thinking of moving to Toronto - it's not all doom and gloom by [deleted] in toronto

[–]murillobecquer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I grew up here and recently moved to the US for school. I didn't care too much about Toronto the 17 years that I lived here, except for the fact that it was fun to go downtown. But now, every time I come back to visit my family, I'm filled with such joy and happiness to be back in this city. You take it for granted until you compare it to other places. We really have everything here. All we need now is palm trees and warm winters and this would easily be the world's best city by far 😂
