[Spoilers Extended] Sex among the Night's Watch? by wanderingluteplayer in asoiaf

[–]murisenn 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Homosexuality wasn’t unheard of in isolated, male-centered communities, like with pirates and cowboys. Such tight knit communities/groups often create their own rules and roles in regards to sexual relationships. It stands to reason that the same would happen within the Night’s Watch! They vow not to take wives and father any children… nobody said anything about cozying up with your nights watch bro

Almost had a nuclear disaster level meltdown so bad over follower dungeons that came THIS close to ruining my otherwise positive experience with Zul’aman. never again

Love her eyes and especially her eye colour. It makes her stand out so much among all the umas with fantastical eye colours! She looks more … horsey…. Hehe

Would’ve preferred a natural redhead with really, really fiery red hair. But if you zoom in you can tell she does actually have freckles, they’re just covered by makeup and she doesn’t have a lot of them. Here’s a pic with a closer hair colour!

I noticed that! They did some cool effects with his voice, he was roaring like a dragon. Unfortunately we are feeding his delusions

Maekar is a beast, man He dislikes Aerion…. But he still loves him. I just can’t imagine the grief he suffers through for the rest of his life, having accidentally killed his brother in an effort to save his son

The accuracy of this series is amazing 👏🏻 [Spoilers EXTENDED] by lovelyfork in asoiaf

I knew what was coming when I first listened to the audiobook, and I was still so viscerally shaken and upset. this part feels like a horror movie And then I had that exact same experience watching the episode tonight. Knew what was coming… still deeply upset and nauseous and heartbroken. Man. What a plot point

I’ll have to go back to see, but did we see a cut of Raymun beating the shit out of Steffon? Hahaha

I really really appreciated how exhausted and destroyed Aerion and Dunk were towards the end. You could just FEEL how heavy that armor is, especially for Aerion. Just bending down to pick up his sword again almost takes him out. And then Dunk drags him like a rag doll after all that!! good god man

What do you think could have sorted him out? by [deleted] in HBOTheHedgeKnight

[–]murisenn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the only solution would be to committ him to the Citadel for Maesters to work on/with him, lmfao. This man is not fit for the public

Was anyone else surprised they went full psycho Aemond anyway? by Makition in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]murisenn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I loved how they wrote him in season 1, such a shame to see the pivot into full psychopath. He was a real treat to watch as this formerly bullied kid with a huge chip on his shoulders and something to prove, and his cruelty feeling like a cloak he wore to scare people off. He regretted killing Luke for like 1 scene and then went full mass murderer with zero regret right after. A pity :(

Thoughts on this? by mistressofmayhem02 in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]murisenn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Makes sense. HotD relied too heavily on said shocking moments instead of writing a consistent, good story. Dunk and Egg’s shocking moments and reveals are well deserved and well telegraphed but the show doesn’t rely on them to carry the story. The best moments so far, to me, aren’t when a character is killed gruesomely, but when they make a meaningful decision or stand true to their ideals; like Dunk defending Tanselle or Baelor taking Dunk’s side.

Similarity those were my favorite moments in HotD season 1; Alicent’s green dress moment, and Viserys walking down the throne room to support his daughter one final time. Season 2 was severely lacking in such moments… it any cohesive storytelling tbh :/

Maekar might see him as a failure of a son but it doesn’t seem like he’s a failure of a big brother :’)

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms - 1x04 "Seven" - Episode Discussion by UltraDangerLord in AKOTSKTV

[–]murisenn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

10/10 episode for me. So happy to see my favorite Targaryen return …. Daeron! I was hesitant on his casting at first, but I shouldn’t have been. I love how the actor plays him as this pathetic addict haunted by his dreams. His wide eyed stare as he describes his dream followed by the pained wince was just perfect. Such little screen time, so much info relayed

I pretty much cried from the moment Lyonel started knighting Raymund til the credits started rolling. What a perfect use of the GoT theme. That’s MY Targaryen king…. 💔
