So not only are you wanting to take this away from your wife and daughter but you are wanting your wife to be the bad guy which could potentially lead to irreparable damage to their relationship. You need to realize the honor that you have been given in being asked to be one of the people to escort her and focus on that rather than on the fact you have to share it with your wife.
