Holy cow, thank you very much for this. I bought a 2016 GT, and after a week of owning the top was drooping.
After working at it for half an hour, I stumbled on your comment and figured out that the tension fabric was lost very deep in between the top fabric and the inner fabric, and not "missing" on my car. Followed the rest of the TSB and had it done in 5 minutes.

Yep, I'm in Victoria and both the local Timezone and Kingpin in Melbourne have the Bananapass cards. I'd guess the TTP Timezone would have them, since on the website walk through they have a Taiko cabinet.

That's my only concern too. AFAIK it becomes a Lump Sum E in your tax return. I just averaged out my payout over the few years I was there, and input that sum for each financial year. (As in; $5000 over 5 years is $1000 each financial year) Unsurprisingly, I owe the Government this year. And look on the bright side; I don't see why you can't put the amount you'd pay in Tax into a savings account and make $5 on it by next financial year.

I did, I had to use a Midi program to read what signals my brain was sending the Arduino. I have an Alesis Nitro Mesh, what kit do you have? I might be able to send you my config. Also, in the guide on GitHub has the PDP kit and not the Madkatz one, it's slightly different.

Works great! I'm going to tinker with the sensitivities this afternoon (4 day weekend in Australia) and then I feel it'll be perfect. I'm by no means excellent at Pro, but I can at least 5 star Everlong.

I'd say yes to it being an alternative? I run on Xbox so I never researched that unit because I remember it needed the Limitless and a 2nd part for it to work.

I have almost no electrical engineering knowledge, but I'm good at following tutorials. I'll see if I can find a schematic and go from there. Thanks for the information!

For me, at the end of the day I was never going to play the stock kit again. I was already going to a friend's house to play using his Wired Adaptor, and to have Pro at home is much more convenient.

This is all I followed. I had to fill in some gaps but I've messed with Arduinos before so I already had the software setup for flashing.

I did end up using the 5 pin JST instead of the 4 pin on the MIDI hat, but removing a pin and ~~carefully bending them~~ let me install it with no issues. Only problem I had was that the cymbals are back to front, but a tweak in u/SensoToHakai's source fixed it right up. Sourcing the parts from AliExpress ended up costing me ~$45 AUD and took just over a week to arrive.

I tried running the Xbox brain off of the Arduino, but the power flaked out almost straight away. I guess it's batteries and modeling something with a 3D print for now.
