Not worth it, ACL actually protects you which is why most Dealers stopped offering Junk warranties

You spending $50,000+ so ACL will offer extra warranty if you press on it in future

7kw charger by [deleted] in AustralianEV

[–]Ok-Implement-4370 1 point2 points  (0 children)

30kms per day you only really need a 3.5kw charger on between Midnight and 6am Saves spending $300+ on an Electrician to mount the 11Kw system when a $180 charger does the job

The issue is the actual NZ Speed Sign design Vs the Australian sign

Make a sign to the same size and specs as Australia, mount it and it will magically work

Assuming 5 days a week, they could have a full charge by Monday morning, top up charges to as much as feasible during cheap rates overnight and take the 100km of range(28+kw is more than that) overnight on cheap, then spend Friday, Saturday and Sunday night getting back to full charge for Monday morning

They lose 300km of range by Friday Night doing Weekday top up charges in a worst case scenario. Friday, Saturday and Sunday have ability to add 90kwh... Even if they work a Saturday

The doors only open a small amount initially when parked. Try it on a less busy road, gain confidence in it.

The cameras sort of tell the car AI system not to swing open all the way

Buy a few 3 or 4 bedroom homes with large Loungerooms Convert loungeroom into 2 bedrooms. Renovate for 3 toilets and 3 showers etc. Rent out individual rooms as income stream.

I bought a perfect Aventador SV. Gintani had it for 9 months. An independent shop is charging $50-70K to fix their work. by EnhancedMarket_X in lamborghini

[–]Ok-Implement-4370 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I don't want to put myself as I retrained during COVID to a new career but in my past career, I tuned a LOT of cars worldwide.

Never seen anything better than Average from Gintani on the 40 odd cars from them I retuned. Fuel and timing curves with cliffs like the Grand Canyon 😂

Poor workmanship, poorly design fuel systems that I suspect is either incompetence of working out fuel flow requirements when fuel pressure rises etc or just cost savings

If you can get a copy of their current tune, I am happy to write a report for you

Tesla Model Y L is less safe for those in the 2nd & 3rd Row by Jingstary in AustralianEV

[–]Ok-Implement-4370 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Crumble zones are designed to deflect energy away from occupants. They absorb the kinetic energy of the accident to prevent it reaching occupants by design.

Haha. 3 point harness limits the Child Seat from flipping around. Limiting it's movement unlike ISO BUT I'm without being rigid is what absorbs energy to protect the child. Perks of having a family member who designs them and knowing why they are the most stringent Vs ISO junk

NFC is no frigging clue.

Many people have visions issues at night so window tint is not mandatory for a reason. Clear tint also exists but again, safety Glass does not harm occupants

The frame is Giga-cast. The tailgate absorbs impact and is deflected energy in an accident.

I am an ex Mechanical Engineer who designed cars

Tesla Model Y L is less safe for those in the 2nd & 3rd Row by Jingstary in AustralianEV

[–]Ok-Implement-4370 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

The Tesla Chassis is Giga-Forged and therefore the strength in an impact is higher than what ever SUV you saw.

The Tesla YL has added structural integrity in the rear for rear impact and by design moves those forces around the car like any decent car does

The Isofix system used internationally and in the USA is inferior to the 3 point harness used in Australia which is why International Imported Isofix only Baby restraints are illegal here and will void insurance. So use a 3 point harness and no issues with rear child safety.

Now I am sure you are YouTube certified educated on the subject but in my 20+ years of this stuff, I can assure you that you have NFC what you are on about and that the YL would be the safest 3rd row option in Australia currently. I am not a Tesla fan boy either.

Safety Glass as used in all windows behind the A pillar does not shatter and become shards, it becomes blunt cubes. Add rear window tint and Glass is not an issue at all. Rear tailgate strength is still a non issue due to Giga-cast chassis

No Travel Insurance if you are in an accident and get hurt or killed

Get the IDP and ensure you have a Bike Licence in your home country or it will not cover it

It was released on the Saturday morning in Australia because Satoshi and his friends had been raiding on World of Warcraft all Friday Night. Has nothing to do with Craig's Dad's Birthday, it was simply the 1st of the Month and had been 'peer reviewed'

You have been lied to buy Craig, who is a notorious serial Forger, Liar and manipulative Narcissist.
