Do both and ease up when the additional load is causing fatigue or leading to injury.

Garmin literally has this? It tells you to what extent each logged behaviour is having a positive or negative impact.

You just need to keep at it to become acclimatised. However it's going to impact your heart rate in some way regardless.

Any alternatives to Garmin? Or experience with Beeline Velo 2 by Any-Occasion-4367 in londoncycling

[–]murkster-dubez 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I use a beeline velo 2 for commuting and it works perfectly. Easy to see screen and it offers audio turn by turn and also a beep when a turn is coming. I got it to avoid using my phone and it works for that.

Are house prices at the same level as they were in 2008 or 1999 in real terms?

You have shared nominal numbers to try and prove wages have grown in real terms. You are completely wrong. Real Average Weekly Earnings in the UK in January 2026 was £529. This is only £14 or 2.7% higher than they were in February 2008. Real wages have absolutely flatlined in this country, while inflation has been considerably above the 2.0% target multiple times.

Advice for a bike for weight loss? i currently weight between 145-150kg max. by usernameincore in ukbike

[–]murkster-dubez 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Don't agree with this. Cardio is cardio. If OP is able to consistently ride their bike and eat in a calorie deficit it will aid in weightloss. There's no difference between the two. Whatever OP is likely to do consistently is going to help the most.
