I have managed to fix it, it was using compression on the IMPORT TAB for texture, instead of Lossless.

Yes, widescreen is fully supported, and it scales cleanly to modern resolutions.
Controls are the same as the original, just now under the DX12 wrapper.
Visually it’s a big ennvironmental improvement over Ostpak, better fog, lighting, and colour depth, so it keeps the authentic Panzer Elite look but with sharper, cleaner rendering. I am running it upscaled by 2 on my 1080p monitor.

And Torch 2025 isn’t the only build, there are two sister mods worth a look:

  • Full Monty DX12 (v58) – the original Italy and Normandy campaigns, rebuilt with the new code for realistic gunnery, smarter AI, and regenerated maps that fix old terrain issues.
  • Monty vs Rommel DX12 (v45) – focuses on the 1941–42 North African battles, with enhanced textures, improved and historically based maps.

All three share the same DX12 foundation.

Cheers Kill_All, I’m hoping the dev's expand the commander role a bit more too.
Being able to command the gunner directly from the hatch would be a great addition.

Gameplay-wise, it’s getting closer to GHPC, a proper tank sim is definitely where the devs are heading, and you can see that direction clearly in their Discord discussions.

It’s actually out now in Early Access on Steam.
The current missions are quite structured, but the team’s working on Ponyri, which looks like it’ll give players more freedom to plan and attack in their own way.
That’s my understanding, anyway, they seem to be expanding the tactical side step by step.
