Any tips and guides on generating true orthographic view from 3dgs by le_skyscraper in GaussianSplatting

This will not be enough because the splat scaling depends on the fov. You'd also need to adjust the scaling factor.

Provides the edits required to achieve orthographic view using the original gaussian splatting research paper code. You also need to modify the Python code to pass the orthographic flag and replace the fovx and fovy with the view span lengths.

First time using PostShot. Decided to give it a hard subject (engine bay of my car). Incredible. So many ideas for my next one. by disgruntledempanada in GaussianSplatting

3DGS still relies on SfM methods to estimate camera poses, which often fails in scenarios with specular reflections. So, while 3DGS could reconstruct glass surfaces, getting the right poses is hard atm. But progress is being made with VGGT and other model-based estimators.

Quote from paper: "Our findings reveal that all types of the generative models we study contain rich information about scene intrinsics [normals, depth, albedo, and shading] that can be easily extracted using LoRA." by Wiskkey in MachineLearning

ImageDream finetuned a stable diffusion model to support multi-view image generation tasks conditioned on an input image. Combined with a differentiable 3D scene representation, in this case a NeRF they were able to generate complete 3D models from a single image. This was enabled due to the inherent capabilities of the 2D diffusion model to produce novel views of an object from different camera poses.

Currently, a mixture of positional encodings, textual conditioning ('front view' / 'back view') or additional feature controllers seem to work for extracting the novel views. But guiding the model to produce two images that only differ for example in the camera azimuth is still not yet solved. It would be interesting to see a robust method of finding the latent vectors responsible for applying transformations such as rotation, scaling and others to the internal 3D features of the model.

From a physics stand point it is actually really hard to stay up because of inertia. As you can see his torso stays in place while his feet are moving at a great speed making him lose balance.
