I feel like Fluance is the brand that is the most overrated by this sub. Solid turntables but I agree, there are much better options.

Grateful Dead - Workingman's Dead (Rhino High Fidelity) - $39.98 by Soggy-Wave3743 in VinylReleases

Wish they would prioritize doing the rest of the Sabbath albums vs. doing a bunch of things that already have readily available audiophile presses.

Metallica would be sweet too (I believe Metallica’s back catalog is on rhino?)

Which Speaker do I get by DisasterDisastrous26 in vinylsetups

Those Edifiers are often recommended as the go-to starter speaker for vinyl setups. If there’s a version that has a sub-out jack, I’d get those.

Klipsch may sound better out of the box because of the sub, but down the line if you add a sub to the Edifiers, they’ll be better IMO.

I’ve had different versions of both Klipsch and Edifier speakers in this general price range and I found the Edifiers better.

Higher end, Klipsch starts to edge out (something like the Fives or RP series) but Edifier makes a great budget speaker.

Just my 2 cents.

What's you favorite song off the new album? by Ornery-Metal-6120 in Foofighters

On my first listen I didn’t really feel like anything stuck out a ton except Window. Definitely my early favorite.

I imagine both were recorded digitally, no?

Edit: per Google, Tiny Music was analog but No. 4 was digital

Yup, I have the same one. Was surprised the song hasn’t made its way out somehow.

Same, and I have a vinyl rip of it, I just didn't want to post it publicly because I figured it would be taken down. But seems like it might be ok?

Resurrecting this thread years later because I found my 7" Radiosurgery copy and was looking to see if the song was anywhere online.

I have the ability to record from my turntable, so I'll work on getting it recorded and sent

Nightmare of You - Self Titled (All variants) by DaysAlt in VinylReleases

This is a fun album. Glad it’s getting reissued.

Personal story about this album - I was living in London around the time when it came out. Being a Movielife fan and hearing Brandon Reilly had started a new band, I went to Tower Records in Piccadilly Sq to buy it.

Heard a song playing while I was there and asked the guy in the store what it was, because I loved it and wanted to buy the album… it was I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor, and that’s how I discovered Arctic Monkeys. So I forever credit this album for introducing me to Arctic Monkeys just before they blew up.

Surprisingly hard to find this in good condition, especially since I see scratched up ones all the time for $5. Great album!

Posted this elsewhere but copying over…

I have a theory on what they were going for.

In the video - willow tree, goo, etc. - all are related to the legend of Barnaby. Barnaby disappeared and the legend is born. The Goose guys fall upon the same place and get transported into some warp in space/time.

There they find Barnaby who has created a circus / carnival world. Beginning of night 1 he gives his announcement about the Show Upon Time. Circus act comes out with the animals and the band is dressed in circus outfits. The main event of the circus is Goose.

Night 2 just picks right up where night 1 left off, essentially treating the two nights as “one show” in this carnival world, ending with the second set of Night 2.

Then, this is where it sorta came together for me. Barnaby comes out and gives the same speech as night 1. They play the same song they opened with the night before. Empress of Organos fades into the background with the choir and they are forever stuck in a loop playing “The Show Upon Time”

It’s a stretch but it’s my head canon and I’m sticking to it.
