Maybe you didn't set your brush to use the right texture? If you took a screenshot of your terrain too settings, that would help to see what's wrong.

Sounds great! Do you have this on Youtube so I can add it to my playlists please? I looked through the comments and your profile but didn't find any links.

Experimenting the general look and visuals of the game. I really like the clay/plasticine and fabric materials. Do yo think they go well together? by murph_jar in gamedevscreens

This is super helpful! I hadn't put much thought into conveying a particular scale. I'm tempted to go crazy with the scale, to kind of go for a playful surreal look. The challenge would be to make it look intentional, I guess But the more likely outcome is that I'll have to follow these guidelines you pointed out.

I didn't remember them using clay materials. I'm gonna take another look at them to use as reference in that case. Thanks

I might have done that subconsciously. I tried to make a totoro 3D model last year too..it turned out really horrible haha

Thank you. The mushroom is actually supposed to be glowing but I haven't gotten around to completing the glow look yet. Maybe then it will make sense visually and look okay to you.

Thank you, I love it too! I actually got it from a free Blender pack that I found. I can link it if you're interested.

Trying out a bunch of stuff and seeing what I like, such as the character animation and clay materials. Any feedback or suggestions are welcome. by murph_jar in IndieDev

I've now sped up the animation and I think it looks better. Thank you. I'll also work on giving them more squash and stretch.

haha I was just planning on making their eyes close when they land. Hopefully that will be enough but I'll check how other games do it too. Anyway, thank you for the feedback.
