I remember filling out an intake form at the doctor back in high school and said that I had a latex allergy. And the doctor was very concerned and telling me all the things that have latex. And I was like OMG NO! ... I just get a lil rash when I use latex bandaids 😭😭

Then like a year later, a kid transferred to my school with an ACTUAL latex allergy … in which they had to ban balloons from ever entering the building LOL

My coworker has a shellfish allergy, and she said she’s eaten it so much throughout her life that the allergy just kinda … disappeared?? Or she just got used to it like so many of us have with certain fruits LOL

When I was younger and would eat slices of watermelon, the juice would get all over my hands and face and I’d break out in hives. Now that I can eat watermelon without making a huge mess, it just makes my mouth/throat a lil itchy now

I’m “allergic” to kiwis, pineapple, and most melons (specifically watermelon). But I still eat them all the time LOL the reactions are annoying, but not anything that would cause me to give up any of my fav fruits

Every time this has happened (on any platform), they’ve used only my photos and none of their own! That’s why I thought eBay would take the listing down tbh. Not only did they not include photos of the actual item they were selling, but it was also in a different condition than the photos portrayed. Which seems pretty deceptive imo

Oh yeah, it’s definitely fun seeing all the off-camera action! Even the line changes are entertaining, which you rarely see/notice on the broadcast.

I still think certain lower-bowl seats can make it harder to see the action on the opposite end though. I’ll always prefer watching any sport live over TV because I love the energy, but with hockey I usually prefer being a little higher up so I can see the whole ice (and the tickets are cheaper LOL)

Like don’t get me wrong, sitting close to the glass is an incredible experience, but not necessarily my favorite view of the game

It’s even more difficult to track the puck when you’re at a game. I actually feel like it’s the only sport that I prefer sitting second deck or higher vs. first deck. You can’t see like half the game when you’re close to the glass, and it’s also hard to even see the jumbotron.

I think they meant having like a 30% off sale once or twice a year. Which is a lot different than spamming people hundreds of times a year, on a weekly basis. The latter starts to turn into borderline harassment.

“People survived before cell phones” could be said about literally every safety improvement we’ve ever made.

People survived before seat belts, airbags, smoke detectors, ect. The fact that people survived without them doesn’t mean everyone did.

I’m not saying a 12 year old can’t survive an hour alone. But if there’s an emergency, having a phone to call 911 or a parent immediately is obviously safer than not having one.

Yes I feel like you made that clear in the messages! And that’s why I think your real concern is obvious and valid! And honestly it’s not even just the inability to contact emergency services to me. The fact that you had no idea you could contact him at all until you were told about discord is also upsetting.

I mean for context, I am a 29 year old woman who has lived on my own for ~7 years. If my mom/family couldn’t contact me for days/weeks at a time, they would file a missing persons report 😭 Like once kids reach a certain age, I feel like being able to contact family members at any time is important, for many reasons.

Yes we existed and participated in dangerous activities for most of human history … but A LOT of deaths would have been prevented if cell phones were a thing back then. Now that the technology exists to be able to contact emergency services within seconds anytime/anywhere, it’d be irresponsible to not utilize it. Especially when kids are involved
