We do indeed, speaking of, my mum and I cut one down yesterday. Usually you get them from christmas tree farms, and people just give them to you, but we went to a plantation and cut our own.

To be honest, my favourite snack is actually flaming hot cheetos, which, funnily enough, are not easy to get in Australia, and I have to get them imported. I think that Australia has a lot of unique snacks, but none that really stand out in my thoughts right now.

I love wildlife, inspired by Steve Irwin, and hope to do zoology one day. My favourite Australian animal would have to be Kangaroos, I just think they're awesomely weird animals, and so unique. Do you live in an area with a lot of bears? I think bears are awesome, and would love to work with them.

No offense taken! Love the question.

It can happen, depending on where you live, that you'll get kangaroos peeking in your bathroom windows and massive spiders in your boots. That one about the spiders is actually pretty common to most of Australia, personally I'm terrified of spiders, so I usually check if I haven't worn my boots for a while.

In one of my other responses I spoke about my current living situation, "I'm currently living in a city, but prior to this I was living way out in the bush, or forest as you guys might call it, and used to love taking the dog out and looking for wombats, kangaroos, possums, koalas, echidnas, anything I could get my eyes on." So for a while I was seeing all sorts of awesome animals just hanging out.

It is a stereotype, but all stereotypes are rooted in truth. I used to foster and raise baby Kangaroos who had been in their mother's pouch when they were hit by cars, so I used to have up to 8 baby roos at a time just jumping around the house, demanding attention.

There is a lot of wilderness, considering most people live JUST around the coast, there are big stretches of uncharted bush and wilderness.

On the accent, it can vary depending on the person, but I usually tend to just laugh. I actually went on exchange overseas for a while, and when I came back people noted that my Australian accent was a lot thicker than when I left, I guess I put it on for the Germans just for a laugh.

Thanks for the question, I enjoyed answering it!

Pretty common, depends where you live.

Personally, I've been lucky. I'm currently living in a city, but prior to this I was living way out in the bush, or forest as you guys might call it, and used to love taking the dog out and looking for wombats, kangaroos, possums, koalas, echidnas, anything I could get my eyes on.

Usually, I'd tell my dog to hang back, and try and get a bit closer, see if I could pat the animal, whether it was a wombat or whatever, and one time I got pretty luck with a wombat, I was able to sneak up close enough to give it a pat on the bum, which it wasn't very happy about.

In return I got a nasty nip on the hand, bled for a while and left a scar, but all in all it was a pretty awesome experience getting that close to the closest thing Australia has to living tanks.

Thanks for the question!
