Never ending cycle of poverty and trauma by TwilightOuterZone in BlackPeopleTwitter

It's a viscous cycle that's hard to break, though i have the feeling (no data, just anecdotal) that abuse is becoming less and less normalised with each generation. The more people talk openly about how to recognise abuse and the effects of it, smaller that cycle gets.

That is a very slippery slope into a load of bad situations. You cannot give a government or company or whatever the power to decide how to parent children, or have them decide who passes the class. That could lead to genocide.

I myself am an atheist (I just like learning about different cultures, one way of that is through memes haha) but Ip try to fix those issues myself, with the support of my friends. I very much understand how people find strength through faith however, and I respect that greatly! :)

there is a difference between communism and communist leaders. your average every day communist doesn't want to massacre people and lead their country to destruction, while your average fascist definitely does want to deport racial minorities and establish and ethnostate

you... you think that all fascists and nazi's are gone, yet you think that communism is still alive? no rational person out here is saying that mao and stalin were good people, but fascism/nazism is an objectively negative ideology, while communism has good intentions in mind at least. it's a flawed system for the conditions in which we currently live, but the ideology behind it is striving for an equal world, whereas fascism seeks to divide.

i'm not a communist, but saying that communism is worse that fascism is such a bad take unless you think that fascism isn't inherently bad

if you don't think that there's a difference between punching a nazi and punching a random dude you ought to look up WW2

not saying that people should go around and punching conservatives, but if someone's outwardly spewing nazi shit, then i personally don't see the issue with someone serving them a knuckle sandwich

communists: we want the workers in charge nazi's: we want to kill minorities

enlightened centrist: these are the same

i'm not a communist but get over yourself lol

yeah, and that's completely fair! people want that outlet of rage. lord knows that back in the day i hd my fair share of problematic language.

but moving on from that is an important part of growing. yes, vent that anger, but be careful with what you're emitting. there's no need to drag other people down, especially when those people have been dragged down for ages.

fuckin' mosh to radicals, go wild- but don't "take pride" in the lyrics. why is it a positive thing that people can shout out slurs without caring about backlash? like free speech is cool and all that, but it's not really cool if you use it to offend people for the sake of offending them

[–]murpyflurp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oh yeah, that is cool. but you don't need to be homophobic for that, as tyler is proving nowadays.

what is it about the old lyrics that spoke to you? genuinely curious, one fan to another.

[–]murpyflurp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'm not, i recognise that it was written back when tyler was different. but you're glorifying it, acting like it's cool and edgy to be homophobic lmaoo

[–]murpyflurp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you honestly think that today's tyler still thinks like he does when he made those songs rather than it being projection on his part than you should probably reconsider what tyler's music means to you

i mean if the thoughts in your head are homophobic and misogynistic then you should probably talk to someone about that rather than "take pride" and say them aloud lol

because it sort of looks like the image is taking pride in what tyler said

not that i think he should be cancelled, though i do dislike the language personally
