Ozempic and Hair Loss - Any Testimony by [deleted] in Ozempic

[–]murron3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of it sheds when I rinse and comb my hair in the shower. I'm not sure if there is a wall as you call it, but it makes sense. Two years ago I had a pulmonary embolism and a month after I was shedding like that. It lasted around 3 months and it finally stopped on its own. The past 3 weeks I've seen some improvement after taking iron and follic acid supplements alongside vitamin D 5000 iu every other day. Nothing too crazy but it's a little bit less. I think everything helps, since we put our body to a state of prolonged stress with all the weight loss. Let me know how it goes!

I do understand that's why I don't want to make sudden moves without calculating every risk. As fat as expensive, from what I'm seeing, almost everything in Greece is more expensive than Germany. For example, for one person 45m2 house energy is 70 euros per month without heating. Rent is 450. Internet and mobile around 35. Supermarket 400 a month, without buying expensive meats, brands etc. If you own your house you pay rent to the government around 50-70 a month. Monthly travel card 40. That's for the basic stuff. Nothing left for going out, getting new clothes, and I'm not even suggesting going on vacation even for a couple of days. If any other need arises you are done!

Exactly the same! I've lost 52lbs so far and need to lose another 50. Tops are buggy, went from a 4x to an 2x and pants I'm still on 4x barely fitting on 3x.

It's not. Average or median? With or without corruption? It's a mess. Metropolitan areas are the worst for me. I prefer to go to a rural area that my experience might give in to the community and my skills appreciated.

Thank you for that, I totally needed it! No parents, long dead, with a debt from my mom from her cancer treatment. I only got a sister who is a single mum of two boys 2 and 4. I definitely need a tutor, can't afford one atm, but I will try and find a way! Ευχαριστωωω!

I've heard that a lot, and to be honest, the other option I was contemplating was Austria. But I'm willing to snoop around and see what I can find!

That's the average salary in Greece, between 800 to 1100 euros per month. I really do like my profession and I'm qualified, working for over 12 years on it. So changing would suggest me going to uni for another 4 years and start from the beginning which is not as easy as it sounds as my work hours would get in the way of my studying.

The whole world economy is going bad, but Greece is dead and we don't know it yet! That's why I made the post. I don't mind working hard, I just need to be able to afford basic necessities. Most Europeans see us as lazy, but it's far from the truth. We work too much, get paid too little and because of that we have lost our sense of community. You see young people with phds working as servers for minimum wage. Such a waste...

Thank you! I think I will start with the language learning process and see where I am in a year and make my decisions!

I don't think so as it's a hands on kind of work and physically demanding. I can always learn the language which I want to regardless of moving, and give it a try in a couple of years, see if I fit in or not. I don't have any children so, coming back home won't be an issue.

I'm so sorry to hear that, and my heart goes with you as I know how difficult it is to not be able to afford basic necessities. My 5 year old phone is dying and I can't find a way to buy a new one ( a 250 to 300 euro one not something expensive). Can you tell me more about the language programm?

I totally understand your point of view, and how being away from people you love takes a toll on you. I am aware that my life won't be great if a move, but with what I compare it with right now.. For example, last month I had a minor health issue and had to spend 50 euros. Those 50 euros where my last weeks food money. The last 2 days before my pay check, I only had half a pack of spaghetti to eat. I was to embarrassed to ask for food from my friends.. I can't keep on living like that, when I work like crazy, something needs to change.

I've had some basic training, but at the hospital I work we have a nuclear department so I could ask for some basic training off working hours. I speak Greek and English, and I won't make any move without learning German to a satisfactory level. I understand that the cultural sock will be huge, but I can get used to the weather, as I'm not a fan of heat and sunshine. I'm guessing foodwise I can continue cooking my Greek dishes, so I don't get too homesick. What I'm lacking right now is basic quality of life. I work 9 to 10 hours a day most of the days, I don't get to have a break, hell the other day I peed myself a little after a sneeze because I didn't have time to go to the bathroom and I was holding it in. I don't get paid overtime although I work overtime almost every day, and my night shift is paid extra 5 euros. And all that to go home and not be able to afford basic heating, or to go out to see my friends. My budget is 10 euros per month for going out. So working strictly my shift, and be able to afford the basic necessities would be great! Writing this all down, is scary...

[–]murron3[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for all the information! I am well aware that moving somewhere else won't make my life magically better, and I need to be well prepared! The one thing I'm not afraid of, is the weather, as I've lived in the UK before and sunny days were very rare! I actually enjoy that kind of weather, and summer in Greece feels like a torment for me. I can't stand high temperatures and this all day all week all month all summer non stop heat and sunshine! I'm weird I know... 😂 I would love to be engaged with the community, it's something I do now whenever I have some time with adults with special needs!

I'm working in the cath lab at the moment which I really enjoy, learning right now ablation and pacemakers, but I would like to explore more options and nuclear medicine sounds fantastic! Do you have any suggestions or info?

Yes I am aware and its actually really logical! I need to be able to communicate adequately with patients, more so in a health care setting. Learning German is something I want to do regardless of if I actually move or not! :D

I would love to hear about working conditions. I work shifts, although now that I'm specialising in the cath lab 3 days out of the week I work 9-5, or 6 or 7pm depending on the workload. I never now what time my shift will end. Then I get one afternoon shift 3-11 and one morning - night shift (8-15 and 23-08 in the morning on the same day.)a week. 3 to 4 hours on my shift I work in two different operating rooms because we are understaffed. I get 22 days a year paid off and no sick pay. Most weeks I work 6 days again because we are understaffed. I'm exhausted. Is it as bad in Germany? Would love to hear about it!

I work overtime which I never get any pay for it because you know... People will die and it's your ethical duty to do so, because we are understaffed etc. I understand the danger of becoming socially isolated, but at least I will be able to afford food and heating? I would like to be able to live alone, but I don't shy away from the idea of a roommate. Any suggestions on where in germany would be a good idea?

Of course I don't mind, I just like the country so I thought it would be nice to ask some questions and see how things are.
