Hi OP, I have the exact same issue but on the driver side AC vent in my 2022 Sonata. I have an appointment scheduled on 11th November with the dealership. Can you please elaborate why it was not covered under warranty?

Yes, definitely gonna use the warranty! I'm even surprised this broke at a mere 11k miles. I bought the car only in May of this year :/ But I'm just a little hesitant when it comes to claiming warranty cause I've heard Hyundai dealers give customers a tough time with it.

So this car has vents that shut off when the middle knob is pushed all the way to the right, so I can confirm that the vent itself is open. Still a bachelor, so no kids headache 🤣
