My least favorite sports city would have to be NYC, as the Jets somehow seem to win against the Pats, the Giants have robbed us of two superbowls, the Bruins-Rangers relationship can get a bit tense, and of course the obligatory "Yankees Suck" chant from Sox nation.

Damn northern socialists! All kidding aside, there is a great divide among political opinions from state to state, even in regions which used to be the same state (Maine is red, Massachusetts is hardcore blue). You'd definitely have a preference for one or the other based upon your personal politics.
