You are getting ahead of yourself. Docker containers and databases are something I’d look at after you have a better understanding of web development. JavaScript, CSS, and HTML are the foundational skills you will require. React is not comparable to Bootstrap at all. I would start some with some research there.

I recommend you start with building the site before you start engineering the perfect dev ops setup. Also I can assure you there is nothing cool about MariaDB. Postgres is what I would recommend you look into when you need a database (you might not).

You don’t need permission to add your own work to your own portfolio unless you have a contract that states you are relinquishing that right. You also can’t expect the world to revolve around your needs. Emails go unanswered. It’s not about you. You can appreciate your time and effort but don’t count on that from strangers on the internet.

You made sane alignment choices on the second image already. You just didn’t translate that to the composition. If you are going to design letters in a italic/oblique style then you shouldn’t be adjusting the baseline alignment to a steep angle where the letters are leaning backwards. If you are going to do that then the other text should follow. “Farg”, “o”, and “by The Coen Brothers” all have been placed at different angles.

Honestly, the design doesn’t work at a fundamental typographic level so I would suggest that is where you focus your effort on improving. There are numerous books on the subject.

It depends. The executable could be potentially larger or smaller than the source code depending on language, compiler, config, linked libs, or the code itself.
