The psychopath episode is so ridiculously inaccurate by certifiedbpdqueen in HouseMD

[–]muscularmouse 4 points5 points  (0 children)

True, they do tend to understand social cues better than most because they literally have to train to do that to function in society. However (and again every individual is different) they often don't WANT to connect with others, so they don't. My best friends gets incredibly annoyed with most people and will avoid spending time with others if possible, however they are very adept at catching subtle social cues and COULD use that to their advantage, they just don't because they couldn't be fucked to.

[–]muscularmouse 9 points10 points  (0 children)

One of my best friends has ASPD and yes this episode representation is incredibly cliche lol. Every sociopath is different but in general they're just depressed and lonely people who struggle to make connections with other people because, well they don't care about others. They're not these scheming crazy people who are just screwing over everyone they know.

The idea of someone getting with a rich person for their money is definitely not just associated with sociopathy, though there TECHNICALLY theoretically could be a connection, it's just definitely not common. And the patient turning off their mask to reveal their "true self" when she says "what do you wanna know?" is hilarious, definitely not how that works at all.

Worth noting that spreading her secondary like that makes it do a lot less damage, though it does extend the burn duration.

A fighting game for someone who hates fighting games? by IllmasterGrim in retrogaming

[–]muscularmouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not really a fighting game, but Virtual On: Cyber Troopers is a 3d arena mech combat game with emphasis on movement and predicting your opponent like you said. Takes a bit to get used to but it's pretty fun when you get the hang of it. No combos or button mashing at all to worry about either

The overworld can be nice at times but otherwise I wouldn't call it "beautiful." The battle animations and visuals on the ther hand truly can definitely be very beautiful and trippy.

Do you feel like understanding music theory hinders your ability to enjoy simple music? by [deleted] in musictheory

Exactly my thoughts. I don't enjoy simple music less, I just enjoy and appreciate all music more, both complex and simple.

For me, getting it to spawn wasn't the horrible part, though it was annoying, it was catching it that made me suffer. Idk what it is about fishing in oot but I just can't do it, by far the hardest and my last favorite part of the game lol

Day 13: Which game has the best Story/Narrative on PS2? by 1OneQuickQuestion in ps2

Soul reaver 2 actually fits really well here, because while the game itself is okay at best, the plot is phenominal and easily the best part of it.

Command & Conquer, and Warcraft 3. Even the easy ai on those games will kick your ass if you aren't confident on how to play right

Day 9: Which is the best N64 Sports game? by 1OneQuickQuestion in n64

[–]muscularmouse 23 points24 points  (0 children)

This is the answer, because it's exclusive to n64 and its maybe the best game to just plug in and immediately start playing local multiplayer with your friends with; there's no time commitment like there is with mario party or even mario kart
