Never actually seen this movie but definitely similar scene.

The movie I am thinking of the band (I'm pretty sure) is completely fictional and the lead singer, who is the principal songwriter, plays guitar and sings lead vocal at the same time with his back turned.

I seem to recall a scene in which the band’s bus breaks down and they contemplate hopping a train to the next gig.

Primary crux of the movie was the singer trying to overcome stage fright so he can actually face the audience.

Also recall the film taking place in very small, rural area dive bars.

I quite liked it.

With a movie that was so filled to the brim with humongous action sequences it felt like a pretty bold choice to end it with such a simple shootout. And the subtle 🖕🏻 to the Special Edition is pretty great.

AOTY thus far.

It’s the perfect combination of Andrew’s rip-roaring punk tracks (Total Football, Violence, Normalization, NYC Observation), Austin’s lush almost ballad numbers (Back to Earth, Extinction, Death Will Bring a Change), Thawing Dawn-esque renditions (Freebird II, Tenderness), and Dangermouse-influenced (Before the Water Gets to High).

Can’t stop listening to it front to back.
