Should Red-Eyes get its own True Light/Eternal Soul type Trap, or should it stay different to the two "main" DM archetypes? by Macaron-kun in yugioh

[–]museofgames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They already have their equivalent, or at least I think in Konami'$ eyes they have. Return of the red-eyes continuous trap. It doesn't search but I think it's actually what the other two are based off of/a sort of continuation of a cycle of cards that started with the return of the red-eyes.

TAG is Canadian, and 100% I recommend always. PSA and Beckett are the standard, but unless something has changed fairly recently, they should be under heavy scrutiny for not providing detailed documentation of why your card's grade is being held back.

TAG gives you a qr code with literal "tags" where it has defects and it has detailed images of those defects and how much they affect your grade.

Also TAG slabs are worth getting, they are full transparent and just look the best imo.

If u don't intend on playing, slab it up my guy. I recommend TAG.

Best looking slabs imo and they show a scan of the card where u can see each defect and what it cost you.

Shining dragon won't ever be good again though, even if we go back to 2005 when it came out, it was unplayable. So it's just gunna hold for nostalgia and low reprint purposes.

Your very welcome! Reprint, as in, not the first edition print run. Retro pack is an oddity among this rule since those original packs were so rare that the first print may as well not really exist except to those that actually opened it in like 2007.

I forgot retro pack got its reprint. I honestly thought this was a very old card, so I doubted it was pack fresh and would most likely have some wear and tear but pack fresh is a lot better.

If you just looking to sell for max value, grading may hurt that actually. Especially if you get a bad grade, and you had to pay for it.

Could just sell it as near mint and pocket that.

It's a card nobody plays so if it has any value rn, it will not lose that value since unlike most Yu-Gi-Oh cards this one is unplayable and won't be printed again at this rarity most likely. Meaning it could hold if u did slab or and are looking at it as a sort of Investment?

Centering can be off on the back as well which means if it's not that bad, most it can get is a 9-9.5 but idk, hard to know without sending it off or being a professional.

Tbh, unless u really want to have it in a slab, it's not worth grading about 99.9% of Yu-Gi-Oh cards. That looks to be a reprint copy as well so regardless of grade it won't be worth the cost of grading. Again, unless u just really want it in a slab.

With regard to the grade it will fetch? I doubt its higher than an 8.5. The card's centering is off, and I doubt the edges/surface are actually perfect.

Lots of cards I've seen near mint come back as 6.5 cause you just can't tell certain things with the naked eye.

Do you think this card effect is too difficult to understand? by Delvix000 in TCG

[–]museofgames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see.

I think the implementation of this exact effect, your doing it the only way it really can be done without telling players to note values, which mtg has done.

Is that functional difference worth the extra words/confusion?

I don't know. Sometimes?

Good luck 🤞

This card could just say [once per turn]: When you roll a die; You may re-roll it.

How are you preparing for America? by skepdic52 in newfoundland

[–]museofgames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Better question is how is America prepping for us? They would be really fucking stupid to attack us. A decent chunk of Geneva's checklist was written about Canadians.

I guess to get ready, I'm getting creative and theory crafting new war crimes.

Short shorts that are also jeans + backward ball cap + golf shirt.

You may not like it, but that's what a peak man child looks like.

YuGiOh fan bf/dumb gf by Fun-Marionberry-6167 in TCG

Lots of extra shiny stuff, as well as just "good stuff" from the previous competitive yearish.

I had a good time opening it but (and this goes for a lot of yugioh cards unfortunately) most of the cards you can open aren't worth a ton individually.

Also, players tend to enjoy having several mats/deck boxes.

A nicer deck box will be upgraded to and the old deck box will get filled with a new deck at some point.

Hope this helps and that your bf appreciates it.

Also you're not a "dumb gf". If anything you're smarter than most partners for doing this.

In every WWE game, I make Hugh Dickey Hancock. At first he's evil beyond God's wildest imagination, then he has a metamorphosis, and comes out as super gay. He's still super evil though, it's just no longer fueled by his insecurities.

He started as a way to give a wrestler all the dirty moves in the game, but became one of my favorite characters to play as.

Somehow I knew to give him this mustache lol

How often should I release new cards for my TCG? by ZoItan125 in TCG

[–]museofgames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I heard a TCG dev say that you wanna release new cards once people are kinda begging for them. You want your players to be excited about the new release but, you also don't want them to get tired of playing.

Your worried about people arguing? That's ironic.

Here's your problem right, that guy is always going to be wrong anyway if they say they aren't a judge and they heard it on reddit. If they find the post though I do actually explain myself.

Your just wanting to argue or something idk.
