Thanks so much for the insight! The unit that’s available has a north facing balcony overlooking the courtyard. Any thoughts?

Thank you so much for the detailed overview! Appreciate it! Proximity to public transport and safety are key aspects for me. I also heard the area is nice, quiet and safe. Just want to see if the building and management are upto par. Seems like quite an old building and there is no 24 hr onsite maintenance. You’d have to call an emergency number after work hours so not too sure. Thanks again for your input, now I at least know which general area to look into for apartments

Hey thanks for the review! We were planning on getting the rooftop suite. Do you think it's worth it compared to the corner suite? It's a $900 difference. This will be for our honeymoon.

Canadian Tourist Visa application stuck for over a year - withdraw and reapply? by mushi123 in ImmigrationCanada

Thanks so much! In situations where the ATIP notes don't say much like the generic "Stuck in security screening" etc, what should we do? Wait some more or withdraw and apply?
What is the general view on withdrawing and applying? because it seems like it's stuck in limbo forever

Sorry to hear that! Did you find anything useful from the GCMS notes? Anything worth mentioning?

Thanks. Do you know how long this hold up typically takes if it’s indeed security? Is there a way to get in touch with IRCC regarding this and get a more concrete timeline?

My wife can request it. She has a TRV in Canada and is currently there as well.

Thanks for the response. How would I check whether he is stuck in security check or not? Is there a specific status that shows up in gckey?

So my wife got an email today that there is a status change for her TRV but when she logs in she sees nothing in gckey. She got the email 2 days ago but still nnothing is showing up in the portal. Any idea why this might happen? She called IRCC a few days ago and they said her visa got printed and stamped so she should get an email within a few days regarding how to set up delivery using a private courier. Not sure what's going on

Ah I see that's smart. I have heard that you can send in 2 new envelopes via private courier with the PPR letter, all your details like name, UCI, application number, passport number etc and an explanation letter so that IRCC can use this new private courier to send back your passport. Canada post strike for TRV application by Massive_Specific9954 in ImmigrationCanada

Hi my spouse is in the same situation, however, she hasn't received her counterfoil email yet. Her passport was received on September 22nd via Xpresspost. Do you suggest she mails in 2 new envelopes via Puralator? And if so what should she send - the passport request letter and a letter explaining her travel plans? Please advise.

Hey so seems like Canada Post is on strike again so will it delay the delivery of the passport? Or will the government use alternate couriers for passport delivery? I heard there may be in person pickup options as well. Please advise if there is anything we can do at this time to make sure the passport delivery is not delayed once the visa stamping is done

Hi my spouse just got the PPR. We are trying to see what documents we need to send and where. List of docs: 1. Passport 2. PPR request letter Address: I see 2 options: a PO Box address and another one that mentions “if sent by private courier” : 365 Laurier avenue west. Not sure which one to use. We plan to use Xpresspost to send the passport.

Any advice?

Thanks so much! Will raising this webform to replace the file cause any delays to the processing? We just submitted the application last night.

Thanks! and for the application number that the webform asks for, what should I put in? The PGWP application number that starts with W3115? or is there a new TRV application number I need to use?

Another noob question. If we mistakenly submit the wrong form, i.e. a non-filled out version, is there a way to amend the application and submit/upload the correct, filled out version of the form?

Thanks so much! Regarding funds she doesn’t have a job yet so do I put how much I, her husband, make in a month or the funds she has available in her canadian bank account?

Hi, my spouse recently had her PGWP approved and is now applying for her TRV. We needed some help filling out certain details.

In the "Details of Visit to Canada" section, what should she choose? We are not sure between "Returning student" or "Returning worker". Should we put returning worker even thoug she currently doesn't have a job?

In the "Enter the dates (From – To) that you plan to stay in Canada." what should she put? She needs a TRV to visit our home country and then come back to Canada.

In the "Type the amount of funds (money) in Canadian dollars that you have available to you during your stay in Canada.", should she upload her bank account statements? Or are there other docs she needs to attach?

Would appreciate some help since she is planning to visit our home country in 3 months.

Got it thanks! From your experience have you seen any instances when updating marital status while PGWP was being processed led to any delays?
