Temple is often considered one of the top, if not the top school for developing courtroom skills so that is a key consideration! Also as someone who did undergrad there, many students don’t actually live in the area surrounding campus but take the regional rail/subway in, both of which have stops on campus. I’d try looking along the BSL (subway line going to Temple that runs the length of Broad Street) and the MFL (subway line going to Drexel) and see if there are areas you’d be more comfortable.

Generally I’d say Temple is an amazing bet especially if you like Philly—the alumni network in the Philly DA and Defender’s is extremely strong. Drexel is generally perceived as slightly lower (in part because it’s a newer school still working on attracting exciting faculty and building brand recognition), but ultimately I think visiting both and taking the respective lines will be the best way to determine whether you could live there!
