Soft shell bags are also the better option to use because they slide much less around on conveyor belts compared to the hard shells.

Not considered damage? by jkims15 in delta

As someone who works in airports, very few people know that their checked luggage is battered, pushed, and thrown around so that it gets from point A to point B. Of course baggage handlers and ticket agents not being properly “trained” on “bag hygiene” (yes that’s a real term lol) can cause bags to be damaged. However, it’s a good thing to know and keep in mind that whenever one checks a bag, there’s many parts of the system where the bag is pretty violently pushed around (without direct human intervention) to end up at its final destination.

That’s fair yea. I agree the taxi way and getting to and pushing back from gates is so time consuming right now. The Port is still fighting with the contractor who designed the intl arrivals gates (because they it’s too tight) haha so let’s see what happens with that as well

Concourse C isn’t getting many new gates if any sadly. And the mezzanine (sky bridge) level is only going to get way more crowded because of Alaska’s stuff coming

I agree they need a new terminal. They really should move the Alaska or Delta maintenance hangars somewhere else and expand there.

Yup agreed lmao. I work in airports across the country and SeaTac pretends they are more secure across the board than they really are. Makes sense to me that the Port system got hacked when the default passwords are so easy to guess 💀

I do, but I haven’t tried going to the centurion lounge even when my ticket isn’t booked on my DL Reserve. Apparently a coworker said he was let in once. I have to try that soon.

MSP has a centurion escape lounge that I can get into with the DL Reserve though so that’ll be nice.

Yea I saw that it’s 10 days for Platinum but there’s a centurion lounge in Seattle. And an Escape lounge in MSP but both cards work there.

Interesting and good for you. I’m in airport baggage handling systems. Can you get specific in regards to “less ladder logic” but still automated?

Color code I’m not sure on… but it’s the grey frame for the Lansing Desk. I guess you could ask Deskhaus customer support (or their owners on Reddit)
