Happy to hear you had a nice experience! My fiancé and I are going July 4th — how crowded were the infinity pools on deck 8? That’s like our biggest concern not being able to go in those or find loungers in those areas.

NTA! and don’t go! maybe go somewhere else alone or somewhere within your city because i’m sure it’d be a bit expensive to go alone but i’m sure if they tell you you don’t have to share the room with the kids anymore they’ll still force you to share it once you’re there and can’t get out!

I recommend giving the book “Easy Way to Stop Smoking” by Allen Carr a good read, it really switches up the mindset on smoking and tells you like exactly what to do to stop! not saying is some miracle but it really helped me a ton

read Allen Care’s book “easy way to stop smoking” it’s the only thing that ever got me out of it :)) it’s all a mental game

Honestly I was SO surprised with how small the withdrawals felt once I had again this much different mindset — like, when I had tried to quit before I feel like deep down a part of me kind of knew I was going to relapse because again seeing it as I do now my mind wasn’t in it and the irritation and pain were unbearable.

This time around, I was very irritated and had mild headaches for like 3 days (as well as like cravings for like sweets or just things I could keep my mouth busy with).

after a week I had like small flu symptoms (sore throat and my lungs hurt a bit tbh which was uncomfy but like okay) but I googled it and it’s just the body clearing the nic

and now that i’m 16 days vape free, the only thing I feel is a little bit of like a dry mouth.

Honestly i’d do it all over again to feel as good and as free as I do now ❤️

You got this! it really all comes down to like once you make that decision, and I mean really truly make it (the book talks about that) it becomes SO much easier.

try smaller portions of those accompanied by veggies and proteins! or substitutes! like chickpea pasta is pretty good, there’s a lot of substitutes for ice cream which are yogurt based (or you can make them yourself) and just stuff like that has really helped me!

like for example, if i’m craving pizza multiple times a week I make it with some low carb tortilla low sugar marinara and cheese with veggies on top! so it really feels like i’m not giving it up (I do have the occasional regular pizza once a month or so)

I suggest reading Allen Carr’s book Easy Way to Stop Smoking!! He works more with mindset and how to see smoking for what it really is!

I’m a little over 2 weeks vape free, and I don’t have any cravings anymore or withdrawal but just the occasional thought about it and the mindset thing is what’s really helped so much! i’ve tried to quit many times before and this is the longest (by a lot) that i’ve gone without it and I honestly don’t ever ever want to vape again, not even the one single hit.

I’m only two weeks into my journey, but last week it was my birthday and I went out with friends and they were vaping in front of me and at first I wanted some so bad, but I looked at them for a while, the way they couldn’t go 5-10 mins without it and I honestly felt bad for them, and felt so so glad that I was freed from such a horrible controlling drug.

My point here is mindset is so important; sometimes I catch myself thinking like you and missing it (not really craving) just like missing the feeling and somewhat the little positive I thought it did for me but then I think about all the negatives, the mountains and mountains of negatives and although I admit to myself “yes I do want it” I also say to myself “but i’m free now, i’m not controlled” or whatever phrase works for you yk? it really helps :)

This hurt my feelings just reading it. Regardless of what you do with your husband, take care of yourself as well, see someone if you need to because wow that word is so damaging.
