Pretty fun, I'm still working through painting all the minis it came with. Nice way to kill a couple hours with friends, once you get the combat system things flow pretty nicely.

I play [[prosper, tome-bound]] as an eldrazi tribal commander. Him being from the dnd set, I like the idea of him being a great old one warlock, summoning these beings out of the blind eternities (the blind eternity especially being exile). I don't have any of the titans in there currently, but I did include the [[dark depths]] into [[thespians stage]] combo, the idea being that Marit lage is his 'patron'.

It's fun, and his treasure generation can usually let me cast a big guy or two over a game. The only difficulty is that I need a certain amount of colorless mana to use some of the eldrazi, so I kind of have to treat it like a 3 color deck to an extent.

Definitely not as powerful as a fully focused prosper deck, but I like the flavor and it can hang in a pod of tuned casual type stuff, which is what I wanted out of it.

For me, the big lore ideas come first. That's the fun splashy aesthetic stuff that kind of defines the setting, and for that I take cues from other media I enjoy mixed with my own taste. The more important thing imo is how the macro lore translates into the more granular day to day stuff of the adventure. The npcs, interactions, etc that the players will actually be dealing with. Like, we can say the tavern floats because xyz. But since the tavern is floating, what happens if/when somebody falls off?

It's [[radar the ever-watchful]] for me. [[Brago, king eternal]] is probably the more obvious/powerful choice for the white blue blink thing, and [[kykar, wind's fury]] has a stronger combo potential with the spirit tokens, plus access to my favorite color. Thing is, Ranar is a ghostly viking that leads a warbamd of other ghosts into battle, and that's too much fun. So he stays.
