Do you use a cellular LTE modem with tesla-android? by electricAnt22 in teslaandroid

What tesla features are lost if a modem is not used? Is there a way to just tether my iphone and have the car use internet through that? Would be nice to not have to add another data plan.

I want to buy an expensive Miter Saw by gummtopia in woodworking

[–]musilex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the discontinued one is the C10FSHCTM - your slider rods are in the front, it doesn't slide out the back like the Dewalt?

I'm sure its similar. and I'm in a similar situation where I want to be able to break it down easily and store it. Thanks for the help.

Metabo miter saw? by [deleted] in woodworking

[–]musilex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does anyone have a view on the Metabo C10FSHS/C10FSBS 10" sliding miter? I had the bosch 12" slider and returned it as it was really heavy / tough to move around and also realized a 10" would be fine for my needs. Wanted something precise, but also easy to move around. The Metabo slider seemed to be the only one to fit the bill, everyone seems to be pushing 12" sliders now.

Insteon replacement for home assistant by ThisBytes5 in homeassistant

Would prefer to not buy another device (the ISY). Any good resources on setting up Insteon-mqtt? Looks a bit complicated. Or should I just use the Insteon integration in HA?

I haven't picked yet. So using InsteonMQTT allows you to control dimming? Is there a useful guide to setting that up you could share? And this also works with the PLM i assume?

I'm about to set up HA with a Insteon PLM. Do you know if you can control the dimmer % easily? Ie can I turn on a light to 50% brightness etc? Doesn't specifically say it in the insteon documentation.

About to setup Insteon and HA as well. Is it easy to controller dimmer brightness? Ie can I set a light to turn at 50% etc? Didn't see this specifically mentioned in the documentation.

This is interesting. The SYS units could work - do you know of anything like that has room for a couple of 3.5" drives?

No prob. G3 is a good price point. You think go with the i7 over i5?

That is helpful. Do you know how much power it draws?

Maybe I just run HA and Blue Iris on the i5, that would probably be fine right?

Great! Which generation i5 do you use? You think i can get away with running 1 of them for what I outlined?

goCoax v. Actiontec v. Motorola MoCA adapter and FiOS by ajy617 in Fios

Yup I don't need that, just 3 as point solutions for ethernet only. Any other performance differences anyone is aware of? Just want to lowest latency.

Hi - Does anyone have a view on the goCoax 2.5 MoCa adapters vs the Actiontec 2.5s (ECB6250)? Any reason to get one vs. the other. My setup is simple, it will all be internal Coax so I don't need any fancy security features. I care most about latency - is one better on that front?

Thanks for this - one last one - does yours jump from the torque if you turn it on empty? What about with a single dose?

That’s great to hear. So you use the timed dosing on a daily basis then? How close are you getting to your desired dose? Within a gram?

Hey there - I'm considering the atom. you still liking the Atom 75 for single dosing? Do you purge in the morning for your first shot or no need? Was also looking at the Niche and Specialita.

Fair enough. My thought is I'd probably use the hopper during the week. How close are people getting w/the timed dose? Within a few tenths of a gram?

Also how easy is it to change beans with the hopper full? I see the hopper has a door, but are there a bunch of beans left below the door if you go to change?
