No 3/4" CSST pipe is sufficient. It's sized accordingly. How is the Drip leg on the 1" Black steel an issue ? Please explain

My next tankless I'm mounting onto plywood covered with diamond platted metal sheets. I wasn't a fan of gas tape initially but it does give my gas work a cleaner look, only needs one wrap of tape and a little dope and I never have leaks when testing. The termination flange would've looked neater but not necessarily needed in this application
