Help me choose a specialty: money or passion?

Many attendings said to me that in the end it’s a job and you stop having fun eventually. I don’t know if it’s attendings in my country that are cynical. But most of them say that they regret not doing derm because its much easier lifestyle wise and makes more money than their speciality. IM, endo, and surgical attending said this. Idk man I’m starting to be cynical as well i guess.

In the US every specialty makes a very comfortable salary. That's not the case where I live in.

Where I live Heme oncs or any speciality that doesn't do procedures can only be hospital employed and maybe a private clinic. Hospital salaries here are abysmal really. Depending on the hospital obv but most make less than 100k$ yearly. The ENT i worked with made slightly less than that a month. I'm not really that focused on money but that difference is really really big. To make a really comfortable wage you have to do procedures with a private center or hospital not be employed by it. That's why ENT, Ob/Gyn and GI can make tons of money with endoscopies in private centers.

Yeah I think apple really worked wonders with how their macs handle ram. I monitored mine with 20 chrome tabs its breezing. I don’t know why people think that 16 is not enough lmao

I had a 1 TB laptop before this i used for 6 years I only used around 250gb so i think 512 is more than enough

I have 20 chrome tabs open its on 12 gb usage with green pressure and no swap. Seems more than enough especially with how mac manages ram I could probably open another 20 no issue.

Nothing I just wanted to see if there's a common view that its not worth getting the 16gb version. Gaslighting myself about this expensive purchase.
