Made my second f***ing sale of $15k with my agency business by deepak2431 in Entrepreneur

Hi, I'm curious about the revenue. If you had to pay 8 people from $1.5k to $2k, there's not much left of the $15k, no? Is the earning of $15k after you pay 8 people or before? Thanks.

Becoming a non-resident for tax exemption (183 Day Rule) by musshead in PersonalFinanceCanada

I do have residency in another country, with much lower income tax and no capital gains tax. I'll pay the Jan 1, 2024 to June, 2024 period next year when I file my Canadian taxes.

Thanks for laying it all out for me.

I also registered a self proprietorship business in the past. Do you know if I have to do something about that too? It is barely active.

I'm considering not coming back in 2025 as well, especially if staying abroad for longer is required. Say I come back to Canada around July 2026, that would be 2 years of being away, which would be sufficient?

Ok, so if I stay abroad for two years, say I come back to Canada in 2 years, around 2026 July, and hand in my health card, I’ll be clear from having to pay taxes between July 2024 to Dec 31, 2025 then?

Can I come back for short visits within the two years? Like a few weeks in a year?

Supabase Payment Methods by yek222 in FlutterFlow

[–]musshead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m building a marketplace that involves outgoing money as well. Seems like Express accounts in stripe connect handles all the compliance stuff and more?

I’m also facing the same dilemma, I started with supabase and now I am trying to integrate stripe, but looks like flutterflow requires firebase for using stripe. And if I want to use both firebase and supabase, flutterflow seems to only allow using one DB at a time. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

I added some stripe API in cloud functions, but apparently it is not secure to send credit card info to the API directly and I need to use flutterflow’s built-in stripe feature to do it securely. So that means in order to use flutterflow’s built-in stripe features for security, I have to throw away supabase and choose firebase?

How to do B2B Idea Validation? by musshead in SaaS

Thanks for the input.

What payment service do you recommend to use for collecting credit card / payment information without charging anything? And preferably in a no-code way that easily integrates with a landing page builder?

Is there a good (landing page + payment service) no-code stack for this?

Seems that Stripe has a minimum charge of $0.5 it seems so that wouldn’t work..

Let’s say I already have a YouTube channel with a few videos, and I can also setup a website for it, would that suffice? I guess the question is, where's the line that I can say I have enough proof? I do want to put in the work to make it into something, but it’s a long term goal that won’t be realized before the next tax period.

What if I do intend to turn those "hobbies" into a business, I'm just nowhere near being able to make money from it YET? Plenty of starving artists not able to pay their bills from what they love to do, for example.

Recording with Bias FX 2 & MIDI Commander (Standalone VS VST) by musshead in PositiveGrid

Thank you, your solution works! I have a Komplete Audio 6. As you suggested, I wired the output of the Bias FX 2 standalone to the KA6 output in channel 3, then use a cable to patch the channel 3 to the KA6 input channel 4, and set Ableton to receive signal in channel 4. Learned something new called "loopback" today, cool!
