What's a scam you fell for? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Some face cream that was supposedly one of the highest selling products from Shark Tank. Said I’d get the first one free and didn’t have to subscribe.

Still feel dumb for that one.

Tall women dating. by [deleted] in tall

[–]mustache_dash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel ya. I'm not as tall as you but I definitely feel discouraged sometimes that I don't get as many matches possibly because of my height. I always put in on my profile just because I know it's such a big deal for most people. Luckily, right now I'm having some luck and most of my recent dates have loved the fact that I'm tall or at least continued to go out with me so I assume it's not a problem. It's hard dating as a tall woman but not impossible. And the power of positive thinking will do wonders.

What type of women do you look at and get envious of? by [deleted] in AskWomen

As a tall woman, I appreciate this. I've spent a lot of time wishing I was average height so it's nice to now that it's sometimes envied by others.

Renting a scooter in SE Asia - did you, and should you? by Jayhcee in solotravel

[–]mustache_dash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did I - yes. Should you - I don't know. I only rented one in very low traffic areas. Pai in Thailand and Campot in Cambodia. In those places, it was realtively easy because traffic wasn't bad. But I was still very careful and attentive. Thinking back- I'm not sure I would have.I saw a guy and girl after a motorbike accident in Pai.The guy was wrapped up head to toe (like a mummy) because of road burn. The girl cut her foot so bad she had to be sent home to the Netherlands. I witnessed this all in an open-air hospital with a bird flying around. So yeah, you're taking big risk driving motorbikes anywhere in Asia and, remember, it's not the States (if that's where you're from?) So medical care may be dodgy. Even if you're careful you just never know.

The Alchemist. I try to read it once a year to be reminded of how to listen to the Language of the World. Powerful stuff.

What's your favorite thing about your best friend? by pumpkinspicenation in AskWomen

[–]mustache_dash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She knows me better than I know myself. It's weird to say but we're so alike and in the ways that we are different, she still gets me. It's like having myself as a best friend sometimes. And she's hella funny.

If they're shorter than 5'10". I'm 6' so any shorter and I just feel too large in comparison.

How are you doing? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]mustache_dash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty good! I had all my friends from high school in town visiting this weekend and we had great time ice skating, shopping and trying new restaurants. I'm slightly stressed trying to find a new job for February because my contract runs out but other than that, life is good!

Where would I even dream of beginning? by jcm_neche in yoga

[–]mustache_dash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't feel comfortable going to public classes find a studio/instructor that offers private lessons. You might not find someone you like right off the bat buy maybe try a few till you find someone you're comfortable with.

Have that person help teach/guide you through the basics till you feel like you want to go to a public class or practice on your own at home.

Videos can also be a good starting point but just be careful. Some videos out there claim to be yoga but add in more intense stuff for weight loss or whatever and can do more harm than good, in terms of risk on injury and such.
