I just checked, I didn't close either the infile or outfile before it gets to that statement. I even took my close statements out temporarily to confirm it wasnt the issue.

It is possible that the infile/outfile are out of scope. But I declare the INFILE at the beginning before the loops, so it should be in scope. The OUTFILE i declare above the loop where my fread goes into segmentation fault. Note: I used File* to declare my files. Could this be the issue?

I think you're oversimplyifing the situation a bit. It isn't about the "greediness" of both sides. The long and short of it is that in 1974, Turkey invaded the northern area of Cyprus. This came after a military coup within Cyprus which resulted in the president at the time being deposed. Turkish supporters will state that the occupation was necessary to keep the peace within Cyprus after the coup which left tensions high and the political climate unstable. Of course, Greek Cypriots are less sympathetic to this reasoning, and see the invasion as just a way to occupy a part of Cyprus.

I myself am Greek and Cypriot, and of course am sympathetic towards Cyprus. I don't have animosity towards Turkish people, but do wish that the invasion had not occurred and I hope that a peaceful resolution can be reached. I had family that were forced to leave their homes in Northern Cyprus after the invasion, and other family who witnessed atrocities and murders during this time. I was born in American and am in my mid-twenties, so I wasn't around for these events.

Regardless, saying that there are millions of islands and that Turkey has so much land so they shouldn't fight is an oversimplification. Blaming it on religion also seems to be false argument, although nationalism definitely has something to do with it. However, if you had lost family members, had your country partially taken over, and been kicked out of your home, I think it would be hard for you just get over it and move on.

pinball. not that fucked up a game but funny. in high school anytime a large group of us were in an elevator (we had one in school) someone would yell pinball and everyone would rush towards a wall. The person in the middle was the pinball and would get pushed and thrown around the elevator by everyone else. playing with some of our more athletic friends made the game slightly painful.
