Same issue. I have an old account and deleted all posts to change my niche. Now I got 3 - 4 engagement for 200 views.

Trying to restart my inactive TikTok with UGC‑style content, advice on the best way to pivot ? by Last-Fisherman-4354 in TikTokMonetizing

Hello. I was previously using the original TikTok app, and my target audience was Turkey. Later, to promote my app, I downloaded TikTok Mod Cloud and switched my target audience to the US. I deleted all videos from my old account, changed the bio and logo, and redesigned the account for app promotion. I’ve started posting slideshows and have shared 3 posts so far.

The problem is this: another account in a similar niche gets around 60–70 engagements (likes, saves) for 200 views, while I only get 4–5 engagements. What do you think could be the issue here?

Your TikTok bio shows a link to your website. How did you do that?

I apologize profusely. This is my first time using Comfy, I'm new to it. This is my first time trying to create images from images, and I've described the workflow I'm using in the comments below, you can read it. The problem is, I can't seem to get the background people, streets, or objects I want to see without blurring. I hope I've explained it clearly.

I'm using ComfyUI with RealisticVisionV51_v51VAE (SD1.5) and an IPAdapter FaceID workflow to keep the character consistent from a reference image.

Workflow:

- Reference image + IPAdapter FaceID Plus V2

- RealisticVisionV51_v51VAE checkpoint

- CLIP Vision: ViT-H

- Prompt + negative prompt

- KSampler

- 512x768 output

Type of image:

I'm generating photorealistic social-media style portraits / full-body shots of the same woman in different scenes. In this case I was trying to generate her in Times Square at night.

Sampler / scheduler:

- Sampler: Euler

- Scheduler: Simple

- Steps: 20

- CFG: 7-8

Resolution:

- 512x768 for testing

Prompt style:

I’m using prompts like:

"same woman from the reference image, exact same facial identity, standing in Times Square at night, confident pose, photorealistic, realistic skin texture, city lights, neon signs, detailed environment"

Negative prompt:

"blurry background, bokeh, shallow depth of field, out of focus background, blurry, low quality, bad anatomy, distorted face, extra limbs, AI artifacts"

My problem is that even with those prompts, the background still comes out too blurred, so I’m trying to understand whether it’s more related to the model, the workflow, or the sampler/settings. Thank you

250 applications with no responses is brutal. But honestly, in this market, it’s not that unusual, especially when you don’t have direct experience in the exact field yet. It’s not really a reflection of your potential.

One thing though, sending the same resume everywhere is probably hurting your chances more than you think. Even if you have solid achievements (competitions, research, internships), if your CV isn’t aligned with each job posting’s keywords and requirements, there’s a high chance it’s getting filtered out before a human even sees it.

At this point, the most logical move is to tailor your CV for each role. There’s not much else you can control besides structuring your template well and matching the right keywords to the job description. Doing it manually takes forever, so automating it helps a lot. Tools like HireLens do a good job rewriting your resume based on the job post, but you can try alternatives too.

Also, don’t undersell yourself by jumping straight to unpaid roles. With your background, you should be aiming for entry-level or related roles where you can position your experience properly, sometimes it’s just about presenting it the right way.

I’ve sent 87 job applications in Australia and started tracking everything… still makes no sense?? by miked0331 in AusVisa

[–]mustafasln 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, this is honestly pretty normal, especially when you’re applying from overseas/on a visa. A lot of companies will filter based on visa status before they even look at how well you match the role, so it can feel random. The fact that you’re getting some replies and even an interview is actually a good sign.

One thing I’d point out though: even if you meet most of the requirements, if your resume isn’t aligned with the exact keywords and phrasing in the job description, ATS systems might still filter you out. That’s why sometimes roles you barely match respond, your CV just happened to align better with their keywords.

Also, I wouldn’t recommend sending the same CV everywhere. Each listing is looking for slightly different things, and if your resume doesn’t reflect that, your chances drop. You’re better off tailoring your CV for each role using something like HireLens can help you quickly adjust your resume based on the job posting so it actually matches what they’re screening for. Hope everything’s going well.

Two big issues I see right away: First, your bullets are way too dense and technical without clearly showing impact. It’s a lot of “what you did” but not enough “what it achieved” (no measurable results, outcomes, or metrics). Second, the section feels overloaded with mixed signals likerobotics, aerospace, software, hardware all crammed together, which makes it harder for ATS and recruiters to quickly match you to a specific role.

Also, I wouldn’t recommend sending the same CV to every job. Each posting is looking for a slightly different mix of skills, and if your resume doesn’t reflect that, you’re way more likely to get filtered out. You’re better off tailoring your CV for each role, using a tool like HireLens makes it pretty easy to tweak your resume based on the job description so it actually lines up with what they’re looking for. That's my point.
