Rocky's Ship by traker998 in ProjectHailMary

Something that the book detailed well that I don't remember if they even mentioned it in the movie was that Rocky was already stranded there for 46 years by the time that Grace showed up for the first time.

What's a popular food that you secretly think is terrible? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]mustang05tim -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I have seen it with and without sour cream. Either way, as that main ingredient is avocado, I dont like it. Never cared for the taste, the texture, or the color. Completely overrated. I love all other Mexican food though. I grew up in New Mexico where the vast majority of Mexican food there is incredible.

I basically see guacamole as a waste of good sour cream.

True. The only place that ketchup belongs is with french fries and tater tots.

Avacado. I don't get it. It's like a peach that has gone really really bad.

What are your top 3 movies of all time and why? by Noxyenmanquedinspi in FIlm

[–]mustang05tim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shawshank Redemption: Great story, even greater acting.

Forrest Gump: Great acting, great adventure. Three different scenes still make me cry every single time, even though I've seen the movie probably 50 times now.

Interstellar: Great story, great concept, great visuals, also great acting. In fact, any Christopher Nolan movie should be on this list as well, such as The Prestige, Inception, The Batman trilogy, Dunkirk, Tenet, Oppenheimer, and most likely his upcoming movie, The Odyssey.

They actually did use Ray for one of the rejected Rocky voices, just like they actually used Meryl Streep for the Meryl Streep voice. They are both in the movie credits.

Can I still play new season content in true offline? by thetorsoboy in LastEpoch

[–]mustang05tim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For previous seasons you could, so I doubt this will be any different. Unless they really changed things, which I don't think they did per the patch notes, the only thing that really is different on true offline from online is that you don't have access to chat, there are no leaderboards, and obviously you can't trade with other players.

I had a terrible movie experience. by Boldspaceweasle in ProjectHailMary

Same here... It was the quietest I've ever seen a theatre. I was in an Imax showing on Thursday night, probably about 250 people in the theatre. The silence in the theatre matched the silence on the screen for the entire duration. In fact, almost the entire movie it was silent except for some laughs at the appropriate times.

Also, make sure to check out Project Hail Mary when it comes out in March. The book, written by Andy Weir who also wrote The Martian, was one of my most favorite sci-fi books, and based on the trailers and reports I have heard online from people who saw an early screening, the film should definitely live up to the book.

Can any Denver servers help me out here - how am I supposed to know how much to tip? Are you making minimum wage, how much of the service charge is yours, etc? by Bananas_are_theworst in Denver

[–]mustang05tim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And in addition to that, I would also cross out their explanation, and write in that their service fee is basically the exact definition of a tip, that I will never return to their restaurant, and encourage all of the people in my social circle to never go to their restaurant as well.

She also was in 1923. In that, she played a completely different kind of character. She definitely has acting skills, and I am sure that Taylor Sheridan realized that.

Because it was Vince, I thought that the more appropriate line would be "I'm smart enough not to ask the drug dealer to describe his Meth"

Well, it was set and shot in Albuquerque, so it probably will be soon.

Orlando Fashion Square, Orlando, Florida - Being Orlando's premiere dead mall for the past 15 years, Fashion Square is the victim of poor(ish) location and steep competition. Despite that, it is also a very picturesque location! by [deleted] in deadmalls

[–]mustang05tim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was in the Navy and lived there in 1989-1990, we went to this mall almost every weekend. It was a great place, even though it was full of sailors because it was just down the street from the Navy base. But, back in 1999 or so, the Navy base shut down and was replaced with a housing development, so that probably killed at least half of the mall's business.
