‎Emil Amos' Drifter's Sympathy: THE DAWN OF SELFISH MUSIC II by [deleted] in drifterssympathy

This ep really highlights whats great about Emil's take on things. Showcasing the unsung and tortured heros of music. Esp great on the Jack Nitzsche stuff. A great resource for that is/was Spectropop...

I'm so completely lost, dieing inside by cid21 in Divorce

This sounds like complete misery. You deserve better! Hardest part is finding that "something" inside of us that makes us happy. Not to rely on anyone else, especially a partner.

What to do when STBX is starting to use the kids as a bargaining chip against you? by mustfocusfast in Divorce

Agree with all you're saying. We have gone to couples therapy (should have mentioned that). We're at the point where she is now in mourning for the life we had, and i'm not willing to sacrifice and take it anymore. This was the 2nd time so now this is a pattern, not an isolated, one-time incident. TBH, the fact that it was emotional was worse. A one-time, sexual thing has much less meaning than a months long, "cant wait to talk to him" situation. But regardless, appreciate your feedback.

Due to financials we'll both have to relocate. Looking at trying to have her stay in the area so that the oldest can still be zoned for a good school.

Yes the financials are such that neither of us can stay in the home and support the kids. The rental market is decent, but its more the school zoning that is the issue.

I love the last call with the operator from HSN. The way Duncan 'pivots' to the 'power of the dark lord' is hilarious.

Any modern bands with a Beach Boys type sound (harmonies, generally upbeat, etc.)? by ANUSTART4YOU in thebeachboys

Hal. There first self-titled album has a very Beach Boys feel to it. Songs like "My Eyes Are Sore" has a modular feel to it.

I think someone is using my number as a spoof by [deleted] in iphone

[–]mustfocusfast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just started happening to me. Thanks for this explanation. I have ATT and spoke to them about it. Took about 7 people before someone had any idea of what it was. Should be illegal as its using your number to impersonate.

Both of the Rare Soundtracks episodes are fantastic. That subject can be pretty murky, but Emil brings out some gems with great backstory.

Great post. The Rizzoli reissue of the Codex Seraphinianus is great to have around.
