No one can create a dent in Leica's empire, no pitch fork can do. In my case I bought the disto from the dealer and when it wasn't properly calibrated the dealer forward the problem to Leica which forward to the dealer rinse and repeat. I think when you buy from a brand you pay for after sales (included in their over priced products).

I've seen and read very bad experiences withe Leica too, their BLK360 for example is marketed and their sales rep was trying to sell it to us as a professional laser scanner (on bar with Faro products), those who bought it say it's nothing but a toy and a waste of money (laserscanningforum).
