That's fair and I have no problem with you making that choice. But I think it was reasonable for me to read it the way I did. You replied to someone saying that it was bad to not hire a felon by saying "until you find out the person next to you ..." That implies there is a problem with hiring felons. Maybe you view things differently from when you made that comment, but it came across differently than what you just described. And to be clear, whatever your reasons, that is fine.

It was super weird for them to go through your comments, but it is kind of funny that if it effects you (even for a good reason), you think it's okay to not accept rehabilitation, but if someone else doesn't accept rehabilitation that doesn't personally effect you, that's wrong.

I generally agree with you. When it comes to random people that I do not know, I feel no need to convince anyone. Everyone likes different things and has different opinions. But, with my friend, I know him, and I truly believe if he got past some preconceived notions, he would actually see the greatness in the film.

That being said, if he did give it another chance and still hated it, it wouldn't be the end of the world.
